Mentioned that rent increases would be capped at 5% annually.

People will just raise rent 5% in perpetuity and give a “discount.” If they ever need to go up in price they will reduce the discount

Private businesses will do whatever they want to cover taxes, water, electricity, gas and make money on Top of that and Biden won’t do shite about it.

He has about as much power to do that as he does to force vaccine mandates or forgive student loans

I'd ask where in the Constitution it gives him the authority to do this, but that has never stopped our government before.

Will he also force national tax control so that your taxes never increase by more than 5%…

If they try this, they would likely try it through the Commerce Clause (re: Wickard). This could set up an interesting scenario if SCOTUS took the case (which would very likely be appealed up to SCOTUS) as the decision in Wickard eventually became the foundation for passing the Civil Rights Act of 1964. They would face the choice of placing at least some sort of limitations on what is considered to effect interstate commerce (Wickard set the standard of, essentially, anything which could conceivably be believed to have some sort of impact, even if it can't be measured) or allow Congress to set price controls.

Anxiously awaiting his plan to cap property tax and insurance increases at 5% as well...

And further strengthened in Gonzales v. Raich.
I knew our Constitutional Republic had jumped the shark when RGB in an interview flat out said something along the lines of that there was essentially no Constitutional limit to the regulatory authority of Congress between the Interstate Commerce Clause and the General Welfare Clause. That the only limit on Congressional authority was the ballot box.

You shut you mouth. 16 Nobel Laureates said this was a good thing.
