A stock to own - DTC (Solo Brands)

Company website
One of my students actually recommended this one to me a couple of weeks ago.
Based on the chart, at the time, I didn’t want to pay $7.60, but it just want cool off!!
I’ll probably just DCA it monthly.
I know the brand because my mother in law bought us a small fire pit for camping and also some high quality roasting sticks. I had no idea Solo went public, but not only that, they’ve acquired chubbies and two kayak companies.
And they’re profitable! That’s why the stock recently took off. I could see them acquiring a few more niche outdoor brands. Can this be a 2 billion dollar company? That would translate to a stock price around $30. I think it’s possible.
Lastly, volume is low and the name is still unrecognized by investors. It’s still early, but it’s catching on as evidence by this recent report.

So they make expensive metal fire pits, for a very niche market, with no reoccurring revenue stream, and we are heading into a recession.
YoY they lose money.
Youtube
It's probably going to zero, i wouldn't listen to students.

Not to mention there are so many knockoff brands starting to pop up. It’s the yeti brand of fire pits

When I saw that 300$ stove on youtube overlanding videos, I was impressed these guys would think of taking that toilet sized pit to the back country to use in lieu of decades old rock rimmed campfire sites. Now I'm seeing the knock offs for a third of the price....which I won't be paying either. Without knowing the rest of the companies products, the solo stove segment will be diminishing.

Bought my first solo about 4 years ago. Bought the stock in February at $4.26. Sold last week at $8.00. Felt lucky and relieved to get in and out. Gonna sit on my hands on this one. I like their brands and wish you luck.

Watching for FTCH to fall back under $4.50. Missed my chance last week. Watching.
I am counting on it to follow LVMH lead in luxury segment.

A few years ago this idiot that works in my office was excited about getting a pair of Chubbies shorts delivered. Did the gayest little "chubbies" dance and all when he was finding out they were coming that day. I had no clue chubbies was a brand of pants and only knew of a chubbie being something other than shorts. I thought he was going to a gay gang bang or something. After seeing their shorts and realizing it's a brand of clothing, I still think he was going to a gay gang bang.

Was in DTC for months. Then I got fed up and sold three weeks ago. Right before the pop happened.

As a kayak fisherman I can tell you that "foldable kayak" will not have a huge market. The inflatable paddle board is all ready being undercut by cheaper Chinese knockoffs.
Not thinking those are really adding much to the Solo brand.
