I thought Hess was fine last night, he only gave up 3 runs in 7 innings. Shouldn't be an issue for an LSU baseball team, ever.

Uhhh, Hess has a lot of movement on all his pitches. You just read box scores or do you actually watch the games?

Love me some Hess, but I still think he's a closer not a starter.

Amen, brother. It's hard to win a game when you leave 11 men stranded on base.

He has the power to blow by a lot of college guys, so I don't think he will get hammered until he runs out of gas. At the next level, he may not be able to throw by batters though, so the time to learn is now.

Besides the first game he has looked better than Lange did in non conference last year

I do believe Hess will be again be a closer and an overpowering one for 3-4 innings....

We are going to have to rely on other young pitchers to be starters
