Cam definitely needs to work on Zach's release. He gets way too many passes batted down at the line for a qb of his height.

Mett will be a solid pro. He has all the tools. I think Cameron will really help him out and develop him for the next level. Pro scouts are going to LOVE that Cameron tutored him for a year.

Way too optimistic, IMO.

I didn't say he was going to be incredible at LSU. I think he will latch on somewhere in the pros and make become a solid contributor eventually. Before LSU he was a stud frosh at UGA and was ungodly in JUCO. Cameron will help him a whole lot.

If Cam has full control of the offensive playing calling that will do wonders on its own. Half the time everyone in the stadium knew what was about to happen. Hopefully Cam can mix up the play calling and be creative with different ways to spread the ball around to our play makers. Mixing up the play calling will keep the D on their toes and not allow them to know exactly what play we're running.

If Mett can learn to check into better pass protections and our WR catch/O line block better and more consistent we should be playing for a title.

Cam needs to work on Mett's internal clock. If he holds on to the ball too long, gonna get sacked in the SEC.

Get his release quicker and internal clock calibrated, and Mett can do damage.

Mett has potential, Mett recievers dropped too many passes, The oline could not potect him, this is all bs! This kid is not as good as people think he is. Jefferson dealt with all the same issues Mett did but he unlike Mett it was all JJ fault the BCS game was the worst I have ever seen an offensive line play in history but some how people still believed it was his fault. Go figure

Have you ever seen him run? NFL scouts hate QBs that are not athletic. And I don't mean athletic as in they can run like Mike Vick, I mean athletic as in Peyton Manning and Drew Brees who are constantly moving their feet in the pocket and are fast enough to get out of the pocket when it collapses instead of having it collapse on them.

If people think that Metteberger won't improve significantly then they just don't know football. He showed flashes of excellence under the fantastic (sarcasm) QB grooming of an O line coach and sadly a man with a very harsh disease. In comes a proven NFL coach who has a history of working with QB's. Mett will improve lots this season. Flacco throws a great deep ball and Mett has a huge arm. I could see Cam working out the mechanical kinks and Mett making some huge plays.

Thank you for posting this OP. Now I have flashbacks of being in that stadium, and watching the greatness turn to shite

I think thats where his biggest improvement will be. I think having bigger and faster targets will also help. He's got the potential to have a huge year.

The recievers hurt him early in the season with dropped balls, the O line hurt him late in the season with bad protection. He hurt himself many times on overthrown deep balls, he didn't connect on a single one.

Pretty much says everything about the offense.

you can't really just turn that switch on/off. Hopefully this Jerry World kickoff game will jump start the entire team [especially Mett]

All depends on him becoming more aware in the pocket, more mobile, and more consistent in his passing.

He seemed to be developing toward the end of the season, but his bowl game performance with him missing some wide open R was disappointing. imo

Cam might be good, but he can't throw the passes, catch them, or block for Mett.

I agree, I think the biggest issues on offense were o-line play and dropped passes. I am not worried about Mett going into this season.
