Whats with the quotes? Is this some sort of gay reference?
ha...
A poster asked if Zach Lee (RHP) would be pitching at LSU. I put the "pitching" in quotes to signify that he is a pitcher thus will pitch.
Don't know how you made that out to be some kind of a gay reference...

Teams don't like to tell anyone who they are drafting. If they actually said they wanted him, it is probably a smoke screen.

Read this today, 6th question down. Not a ton of info, but take it for what it's worth.

June 7 is right around the corner. Any names you can give us who the Rangers might take in the First-Year Player Draft?
-- Jeff B. Dallas
The Rangers have the 15th, 22nd, 45th and 49th overall picks in the upcoming Draft. The most interesting name is Michael Choice, an outfielder from UT-Arlington who is considered an exceptional all-around talent. He is originally from just down the street in Mansfield. It's hard to imagine him getting past the 22nd overall pick without the Rangers taking him. They have had people watching him this spring. Some other interesting local names include McKinney High pitcher Zach Lee and infielder Matt Lipke and Arlington-Martin outfielder Brian Ragira.

I'm not sure how a guy playing QB and pitching would work out. Both of those positions are probably the most demanding in each sport, and I doubt Les would give him any type of break during spring ball to participate in baseball as well.
Does anyone remember how Auburn handled Gabe Gross, who was a starting QB and outfielder?

what I like about this is that we have no freakin back up plan , no other QB around, nice recruiting Les!!!

Never expected him to make it to LSU, despite the ZVR-like comments.
I'm beginning to think that ZVR-like comments are a dead giveaway that a kid's not coming here.

We have these QB's around.
Garrett
Barrett Bailey, who was rated the 28th best dual threat in the nation. he is from BR and walked on.
J lee
JJ
and a few others played QB in high school. Shep, included.

What makes you think he will ever see the field? We recruited RS who was the number one DT QB and he sat the bench and is now a WR/RB

Ye I am real confident in Chris Garrett, with as many snaps that he got in the spring game makes me feel the staff must be real excited about his lack of progress. He was by many accounts supposed to surpass Lee.
Bailey just might be the best Qb on the roster, but if he is truly the 'best' option we are screwed.
Lee threw a pick six in the freakin spring game.
Dude is cursed.
Once again Miles and JJ managed to screw up the last 2 minutes of a game and it was the spring game.
So what makes you confident we have 1 Qb on the roster?
Not to mention no Qb coach.

Lots of players have played and excelled at both baseball and football. Toby Gerhart, Stanford Running Back and Heisman runner up, is just the most recent notable player in both sports (John Elway and Bo Jackson being other notable two sport stars that instantly come to mind).

But John Elway was the only QB of the group you listed and he hasn't been in college for almost 30 years. RBs can miss spring practices and not miss a beat. If Zach Lee is our starting QB, he will absolutely not be allowed to miss any spring football. Not even if he's the #1 starter on the baseball team. I've mentioned this before too, it just seems like it might be too hard to pull off if you are really good in both sports and both teams depend on you. And almost impossible for a starting QB.

If we are forced to play our 3rd or 4th QB this season for anything other than mop up duty we're fvcked anyway, it doesn't matter if it is Garrett, Z. Lee, or Bailey.
Therefore, if Lee isn't here it doesn't kill us. You just sign an extra QB in the '11 class.

Take a look at Tiger Stadium and a look at Alex Box. Which is bigger?
If Zach's the leading QB, Football comes first and baseball catches the hind end.
