Thank You!...if a defense has 8-9 in the box utilize your wr's who are going to win man to man

However, bottom line, I don't think you can take away too much, good or bad, from 5 minutes.
Well, most everyone has tried to. :/

Toss power ftw. Or in that instance, for the minimal gain. It'll be ok though.

So, so stupid! Just go through any highlights from the last few years. Try youtube. Just try it.
ETA: I'll do it for you.
Hill vs. USCe
McGee vs. Arky 2013
Hilliard vs. Arky 2011
There's more, but I'm sure you'll ignore those too.

I'd love for someone in here to take the time to compile every single toss dive play since Miles has been here and post the stats to it. I'll bet you any amount of money the average on it is around 2 yards if that. I can only ever remember it breaking 1 big play but the majority of the time 1-2 yard gains...it's a terrible play call and the only team I see running it is LSU.
I can't be the only one who notices how awkward our offensive line moves around on that play. Every year I've seen the play it seems like our guys are lumbering around the feet of our other lineman only struggle to get into position to open holes up which results into the RB running in the arse of his lineman without seeing results. Our offensive line NEVER seems comfortable running that play.

My 15 yr old and I had just called the toss dive from the formation. Too easy Les!

Last year, your Super Bowl champion New England Patriots ran the toss dive in the Super Bowl.

are there other teams that run the toss dive?
As long as I've watched football I've never seen another team run this play.

You mean that you called a play that they only run out of I formation when they lined up in the I? Wow. You're like a wizard.

That would be like saying I totally called the Read Option when I saw they were lined up in the shotgun. Well, yeah. That's one of the things they run out of the shotgun, you have a good chance of being right.

So is it your position that play has never gone for a big gain?

They've done that. Sigh. Guys, did you watch the Mississippi State game last year? Go watch it. They've literally done all of these things you accuse them of not doing.

I'm not implying anything. I am straight up telling you that LSU didn't start winning conference games last season until they started running the ball 70% of the time. Jennings couldn't throw. It isn't a good strategy to throw the ball all around when your guy can't throw.
People dont pay attention. After the Auburn beatdown the offense went into a shell and it worked. The coaches made the rt decision last season. Do what we do well, run the ball. It kept us in games last season.
These same idiots have been screaming that Jennings would start no matter what. They just spew bs when they really havent been paying attention the last 10 years.

my worry this season is that each play maker will have a certain play out of a certain formation that makes it easy for opposing DC's to figure out where the ball is going to based on the personnel that is in the backfield etc.
We saw one series against McNeese State. Maybe, just maybe, the offensive coaches used that series to not only test execution, but to create the idea of tendencies. Misdirection only works if the opponent thinks you're going where you want them to.

Why do people keep using this play as an example? It was a one yard run that barely got into the endzone.
Did it count for less than 6 points?

Doesn't matter how much talent you have there needs to be creativity to beat equal talent teams.
McNeese is not an "equal talent team."
