No..I'm trying to enjoy what turned out to be a decent year.
If you're being negative at this point....you're simply doing it for the heck of it.
O and company have basically pushed all the right buttons since the Troy game. Bama game....well what can you say....Miles pissed away a couple of golden opportunities to beat Darth Saban his last few years and survived to tell about it.

9-3 is a disappointment with this schedule and LSU’s talent.
Should be 11-1, 10-2 easily.
Lowest ranked recruiting class in a while.
And I personally am not sold on Canada’s offense.

Funny how Les’ 9-3 avg wasn’t good enough, but the remarkable turnaround makes Orgeron’s 9-3 a raving success in the minds of many.
We haven't won 6 SEC games in 4 seasons. Miles was getting torn apart in the SEC by shittier teams. This season was an improvement even with a loss to Troy.
process over results

The only reason anyone is in here rehashing the past failures of this season is because OP thought a call out thread was warranted.

You can't ever just leave this guy in the past. He's gone. O is supposed to take us past what Miles could do. Stop bringing him up as a comparison.

he just doesn't have any of the hardware Miles has to fall back on.
I get this.....but then this is only year one. I'm willing to give him a chance....if for no other reason....I had seen enough of CLM's bullshite.

If you let what an anonymous person on a message board says prohibit you from doing so, you're being overly sensitive.

Why should I? People keep throwing up CEO's tenure at Ol Piss as if that has ANYTHING AT ALL to do with what is going on here and now with the current state of the program.
I can leave Miles in the past if others will forget O at Ol Piss.

What does this mean?
Why not give me a chance then? It seems you wanted change for the sake of change.

Because he's no longer part of the program. How can you not see that glaringly obvious difference?

Well, we did get blasted by State and lost to Troy, so those concerns were warranted based on games played this fricking year.

O is part of the program, Miles isn't. His past is part of him whether you chose to acknowledge it or not.

I wanted change because watching LSU football under Miles sucked...period.
Has it been better to watch under CEO/Canada....meh yes and no.....I prefer wide open spread offenses.
But at least it "feels" like some new life has been breathed back into the program.
Until we separate ourselves from the current admin. running athletics and all of the dumbassery that has accompanied those idiots....we won't get the complete culture change we need at LSU to beat Bama.

True...but it has nothing to do with the here and now.
People change...or so I've been told.

don't focus on the first 5 games as much bc it really wasn't the same team.
So we can pick and choose what parts of the season we can throw out with the wash to make ourselves feel better?
Cool! I've always felt like the first three games of November 2015 shouldn't count against Miles and his team because Harris was injured against Bama and the team was tired and worn down after going 7-0 during September and October of that season.
Then they finished strong against A&M and Texas Tech to close out the season.
Damn, I feel a lot better now.

“ 9-3 was always good enough for Les to keep his job “
Surely you can recognize the difference between a 9-3 record of the coach who has provided your program with championships as opposed to a 9-3 record of a coach who has provided your school with nothing but 9 wins
It’s always amusing to me to see guys trying to compare the coach who had an abundant amount of Capital build up in his program to one who has absolutely no capital at all.

To the credit of these guys, no reasonable person saw 9-3 after troy. I'm an O supporter, at the time 6-6 was the ceiling.
Thinking 6-6 was the ceiling is just silly. Thinking 6-6 was possible, ok. Thinking it was the ceilling? Nah, that is prisoner of the moment stuff.

You got the essence of it...
now, will anyone admit they underestimated things ?
I doubt it, many are not open minded, they are just haters.
Nice post.
But as I just mentioned, completely writing the team off as a 3 win team or saying 6 wins was realistically the absolute most we would win is just not really watching how wacky and weird football can be sometimes.

No matter how shitty LSU played against troy they were still more talented than every other team on the schedule sans alabama.
The o pumpers were saying Les left the team without talent. That Troy was more talented. That loss should piss everyone off. It's clear this team is way better than they showed that day. That's on the coach.

I said 9-3, but I didn't think UF and Tenn would be so bad, same with Arkansas. So with hindsight, this team should have finished with a better record knowing that all thoes teams would be dog shite.
