Doesn’t have the cache it once had. This would have been my answer 25 years ago.

Went there about 22 years ago, it didn't have much cachet then. The campus was singularly unimpressive, the fans sucked and I remember thinking at the time that I would have rather it had been a home game.

I was already there. Notre Dame at South Bend or USC at the Coliseum. I saw them in the 80s and LSU won both.

Lambeau Field

This may be the only game that we lost and I look back and still have fond memories of. The trip was too enjoyable to let a loss ruin it all.

This is a good list. I'd add the horseshoe @ tOSU to the list.
I've been to Autzen stadium. it's decent atmosphere for the Pac-12

I missed our game there, but this past summer, I took my oldest son and we went to Packers training camp for a day and toured Lambeau. what a site.

Autzen stadium is a decent atmosphere for the Pac-12.
I visited Norman, OK like 15+ years ago and it was like stepping back into the 1980s with mullets and camaros.
Clemson has a good game day atmosphere.

Stanford might be cool

Stanford's campus is gorgeous. I went to Texas vs. Stanford when Applewhite was the Texas QB. The atmosphere wasn't great, but they are on the quarter system and it was early Sept; so, the vibe wasn't like the Stanford-USC game. Palo Alto is worth a visit.... maybe not so much for football.

Notre Dame
Penn State
USC or UCLA in Rose Bowl
Wisconsin at Camp Randall stadium

Lambeau was the most fun I have had at an away game and I have been to a bunch. From the historical stadium to the Wisconsin fans hospitality and the fact there was a big group of my friends and family there. Just a lot of fun except for the game results.

LSU @ Texas was up there for me. That said, holy shite was it hot as hell in Austin. Also, I didn't enjoy Austin as much as I thought I would. I guess I thought that despite the growth, it would have maintained its college town/gameday feel. I didn't really get that from Austin. Tons of burnt orange everywhere? Sure, but it just didn't have that atmosphere that I was anticipating.

Now, LSU @ Michigan on a crisp fall day is my bucket list game.

No need for Yankee stadium, Army has a fantastic stadium.

way better options than playing in that dump
Disagree. The venue itself is old and small. The atmosphere and tradition are usually as good as it gets for college basketball.
