Dude, YOU are the one that started your thread by drawing a line in the sand. Don't act like anyone else started the insulting in here. You made the first post, which included an implied insult in the title. Get over yourself, you self-righteous arse.

What are you talking about? I was agreeing with somebody's post. Did you even read what I was responding to?
Drawing a line in the sand? I see I have offended the 30 year olds with 14 year old brains. For what it is worth I apologize for offending you.
Have you even read through the thread or do you really believe that the rant is a mecca of intelligent commentary and decorum.
Grow up dumb arse.

I know exactly what you said, and it was the definition of crawfishing. YOU are the one implying that anyone that disagrees with you is "young." That also implies that old > young, which nature has proven quite false.
Here you are crawfishing again, like someone else had the audacity to imply that YOU are ignorant. It's not the other way around, right?
Like I said, self-righteous.

After reading through all of that, that is the conclusion you came up with.

I am saying YOUNG, because they were likely not around to experience and understand the A&M/LSU rivalry. How else could you read that? Did you not see the post where I said I was in my 20's? I also mentioned post-2003 fans, because they are likely unaware of the success of A&M in the 90's and the misery that was LSU football during the 90's. If this analogy helps you understand, think about all of the Saints fans that appeared halfway through the Saints season last year. Similar to that.
So when I commended the other person on disagreeing with me in a civil manner, I was implying that everyone who disagrees with me is young?
Good God you are an idiot.

LSU played little sister to everyone in the late 80s and 90s.
LSU won SEC titles in '86 and '88, finished in the top five in '87. Otherwise your post has merit. These things are somewhat cyclical. The fact is that LSU is currently on an 11 year upswing that does not appear to be ready to trend downward anytime soon. I work with a number of Aggies and have followed the program somewhat through them. It does appear you guys may be making the turn upward. Hope so for my friends sakes. Should be a good game if they match up this year IMO.

I think that any school that can recruit in Texas, Florida, Louisiana or California is capable of getting out of a slump based on recruiting. Of course it takes coaching to sustain, but the talent in these states allows these programs the opportunity to return at any time. Look at Baylor all of sudden competing. They still aren't that great but their improvement is noticeable after recruiting RGIII.
Luckily, LSU is the only school in LA with the fan base and budget to recruit the region. LSU is in a great position to sustain a great program.

Its too bad that you younger people didn't get to experience this rivalry. This game is huge for recruiting and should be a great game
For those of you bandwagon fans who joined the tiger fan base after they won the 2003 championship, every game is a big game and no matter who is coaching, you have a chance to lose.
I actually want to play A&M in the Cotton Bowl, but I'm beyond tired of these age-centric posts and "negatiger" threads. They're tired and useless. You could have said "SOME LSU fans are cracking me up....," but you elected to go with the word young.

I too am sick of a lot of these posts. If you criticize at all you are considered a negatiger, etc. I know how you feel.
I posted this thread because earlier in the day younger people, even people my age, were talking about how playing A&M doesn't mean anything and their program sucks. It just amazed me how little some fans knew about the rivalry with A&M. If LSU and A&M meet, it is going to be a lot of fun and a great game. They are considered one of the hottest teams in the country.
Also, you have to admit that since 2003, LSU fans have gotten kind of spoiled and have only experienced success. (Saints fans are already that way after one year) When a bad year is a 9 win season, your program is doing pretty well. It seems that unless LSU is playing a "gameday quality" game, people don't really get up for it and that includes the students, even when I was a student there. When LSU was average, playing a team like Miss. St. or Ole Miss was a big deal. It was a great game 10 years ago and could very easily become a great game again.
Also, I used the term "young" because I believe you will be hard pressed to find an older Tiger fan, or college football fan, who doesn't remember the A&M/LSU rivalry.

These are the same people who somehow think that USCal is a rival of LSU.
I would love to start the A&M rivalry up again. Reliant center as a venue maybe?

I don't consider them a rival, but I would really like to play them although it isn't the same now that they are...average.
A Houston based A&M/LSU game would be great.

But yet went to every A&M/LSU game from 87'-94' and had family play in the game during other years (for both A&M & LSU). Missed '95 because of dove hunt but watched on TV. Family has season tickets to A&M and LSU, which will work out well for me and the cotton bowl.
I don't know what your problem is, but how about you STFU.
FYI: Some people watch college football before they actually get to college. unlike some LSU fans who don't know shite until their freshman year or wait until LSU wins an NC.

Fair enough. Sorry to jump down your throat. I get what you mean now. You just chose the wrong day to use the word young.

Either way, LSU is going to be in an exciting bowl game.

Yeah, I'm really hoping for the Cotton. I really think the Cotton's prestige is taking a huge jump by moving out of the dump. I went to the Cotton Bowl against Texas and I couldn't believe how big of a shithole the Cotton Bowl was. The drinks tasted like dirt. Literally. And when I say literally, I mean literally in the the literal sense. It tasted like you had a handful of dirt in your mouth.

You may be paying $16 a drink, but I bet the liquor is great at the new stadium. Either way I will probably still sneak booze in, its kind of a game day tradition for me.

Definitely, I'd rather pay $16 for a coke at the Cowliseum than drink the shite they were calling coke for free. Seriously, I've been in nicer high school stadiums.
