Are you speaking of the Coach that won a recent NC with THE greatest college football team to EVER take the field?

No, I'm not talking about Dave Aranda. Or Joe Brady. Or Steve Ensminger.

Y’all still harping on Pellini who Woodward forced onto O. I was horrible and needed to go but the pellini narrative is false

That always told me that someone else hired Pelini. Someone called him and spoke to him to convince him to come down. If O did not interview him, who spoke to him....I can assure you that it was not like " Hi Bo, Ed Orgeron here.....want your old job back? If so, come on down, we'll work out the numbers later."

Woodward had to approve the contract and the hire ultimately.

Tired? Nah. Unprepared? Yep.

You could see it when the two teams took the field.

It’s not propaganda when it’s true. O had plenty faults and wasn’t very good the last 2 seasons but Pellini was shoved down his throat which contributed to the excessive buyout he was given
that is the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth

He personally insulted me by making me spend money to watch that crap live in the rose bowl. My rose bowl memory will be coach o giving up before it started

The Kentucky game was horrible. I haven’t seen an LSU team pushed around like that since 1/9/12.

good god you people need help. Some of you act like O personally insulted you.
O was the head of a $100+ million competitive sports organization, which most of us have a decades-long emotional attachment to.

It's fair to criticize him.

I remember when Orgeron took over he cited quicker, easier practices during the week as something he would install and the players loved it. Said they weren't as tired for games as they were under Les.

he did in 2018 and 2019. It was pretty well documented that after 2020, he went ape shite with the hitting last year and much much longer practices. Essentially he went away from everything that worked and what he was adviced to do from Jack Marucci and Tommy Moffitt and

1) stopped holding people accountable, pretty much after 2019, he didnt give a frick as far as diet and training was concerned and didnt care what jack and tommy said.

2) went to much more hitting and much longer practices. essentially he devolved into Ole Miss Ed O, cause thats exactly what he did there and what he has done in the past.

3) went back to just yelling and screaming and treating people like shite

4) After the coaches left in 2019, it was pretty much chaos because there was no chain of command set up. BK talked about this yesterday. There was no order to the chaos.

example...Tommy Moffitt would be riding arse about players not eating right....but the nutritionist and chef really didnt have to report to him and on the players side they were given macros but not tracked on if they were hitting those and even if they tracked themselves, no consequences to not hitting and meeting body comp goals. It was talked about and TM complained like crazy about that and the not showing up for S&C.

there was no process in place, it was being winged. Ed O did decent in recruiting processes but once things changed as far as transfers, opt outs etc...he couldnt adapt.

That was Ed Os problem, he had no clue how to set up an orginization or how to create processes, only how to modify those already in place. Well when covid hit, his divorce got him chasing tail, he had no chance cause he no longer had Dave to fall back on and he honestly thought he knew it all and well....we see how that ended.

Do you think the most of the cfb world cares about Orgeron and his antics? I believe most think of him and think about the fact he went 15-0 not that he confronted a guy at a fishing camp in S. La or doesn't wear a shirt while in mexico or at the beach

Probably one of the best explanations I've read and compares to what my observations were. I'd also add the loss of not only the majority of the 2019 starters from a talent and experience standpoint, but a lot of the player leaders. On top of that was the BLM issues and O lost the confidence and respect of the players.

when people think of O, of course we remember 15-0. But that's just one data point - we also remember the rest -- which was a massive implosion of the football program in the two years immediately after 15-0.

You can't just cherry-pick the good, and ignore the bad.

I mean, when you think of Gene Chizik, what do people remember? Same as O -- a magical year with a generational QB, and then quick and complete failure.

It is becoming quite apparent that Brian is the right person for the LSU job. I came away from this SEC Media Days pretty fired up about the season, and the Brian Kelly Era.
