That’s debatable at best.

Tell me how you don’t understand football without telling me you don’t understand football!
Committing defensive players to defend the pass, frees up a more robust running game. The reason our running game from the RB’s is stagnant is because of Daniels.

He did fine against Georgia, a team with a better front seven than Bama.
Nuss gets the ball out quicker, and dare I say he’s more nimble in the pocket than Jayden (different than straight line speed).

That’s just not true, Nuss actually has skill and can feel threats and roll in the pocket to make throws if he needs to
Obviously not enough skill or he would be playing.
Look I know people here love to make up stories about coaches not knowing who is the better qb or having favorites but Kelly has shown throughout his career if he has a better option even at qb that he will pull the trigger.
Him not making the switch shows that Nuss is not going to make the team better, no matter how much all of the hall of fame coaches of the rant and expert body language posters say so.
Of all the issues in the game Sunday Jayden is way towards the bottom of the list. Hester, T-Bob, Hanny, Ott and Hunt all agree also.
Daniels has his shortcomings but rantards want to only point out his issues and brush away the rest of the teams issues.

The overreaction on this board right now is something else.
Joe Burrow has broken these people forever.
They have completely forgotten what truly bad QB play looks like. Jayden isn't anywhere near a bad QB. He is a good college QB who has flaws.

I’ve been saying this for a while.
Some people just don’t get it because they think change = better, and it doesn’t.
Change = Change
Better = Better

You you’re right no one thinks he has shortcomings lol. Are you fricking retarded? No one thinks he doesn’t have flaws. Where do u guys come from?

This screams of a take from someone who doesn’t know football.
A fast athletic QB doesn’t beat a good pass rush as well as a decisive QB that knows how to slide in the pocket, make quick reads, and and get the ball out quick to hot routes. Hitting on those opens up the run game.
JD is predictable, indecisive, and tries to play superhero ball. Sure, he will break a couple of plays each game that will win over the simpletons. But those aren’t the kind of guys that are going to force defenses to cover the entire field.

Sure he has shortcomings. He’s also the best we have
How the frick do you know this? The guy isn’t leading us to a championship so there’s no reason at all to continue playing him

I’m so tired of this bullshite narrative.

Let’s play this game: if Nuss gets the start vs Mizzou and we lose and he throws 2 picks, would you call for the freshman to start?
Posted on 9/5/23 at 5:50 pm to bayou85
No I’d want us to continue to develop Nuss for next year. He has the arm talent to get us another title. JD doesn’t. It’s really that simple

Put an aggressive QB in who isn’t afraid to push the ball down the field and forces the defense to cover the entire field and see how that running game opens up.

Nuss was sacked once last year. he had a higher passer RTG than Daniels

He’s had over 40 starts in college I’d say he’s developed

Downvoted for the use of “you guys” instead of “y’all”. Disgusting.

These people don’t exist. Nobody is saying this.
i'm readng post after post from plenty who won't admit his shortcomings. they come up with excuse after excuse. it would be refreshing for them to admit that he won't throw the ball downfield, can't read a defense, can't throw a receiver open, etc etc etc. "someone dropped a pass... he didn't get any time.... we can't run the ball.... it was the defense that lost the game.., on this last one, he could've helped by making more 1st downs. did you see our first down percentage? i put this in here to invite the excuses. they should be raining in any minute.

This board is so goddam stupid. Lose week 1 and every thread is propping up the backup qb and trashing the coach. Never change rant.
