That call was way too close to be called with no replay assistance. There is no way that call should have been made. And they took way too long to make the call. The teams had already changed to the bottom of the inning and the broadcast was at commercial break.

1) with batter stepping out of box, that's athe third out before play at pate even occurs
2) ump got play by usc coach! Home plate nor any others saw what happened.
3) thankfully the us. Pitcher should have. Been tossed for throwing pitch com
4)none of the umps knew how to control game! Especially homeplate ump.
5) on espn broadcast. You vlcan tell head of sec umpiring suggest call was missed, but nothing they could do.

I don’t usually don’t blame umps and refs bc it’s one of the hardest jobs and perpetually thankless.
I tried reffing some youth league stuff and wanted no part of it after a handful of games.
However, that was complete horseshite. On par with Saints-Rams no PI call. In these cases I do blame the umps and refs.
You’re doing this at and among the highest levels, you can’t be THAT wrong.
