Iowa freaking State is 7-2. Meanwhile, LSU has the worst pass defense in the country. Not one of the worst, the worst, with 5* and 4* talent throughout the secondary. It seems both coaches have done the impossible.

He is my favorite coach in college football. I wanted them to go after him instead of promoting O.

Outside of Stingley and Ricks, there is no 4 or 5 star talent in LSU's secondary. I don't care what they were rated in high school.
And LSU has been without one or both of them a lot.

Sadly Harris and Hampton were both very highly rated, and have just not shown an ability to make plays, or avoid giving up big plays. There's games I don't even know if either has played, because they do nothing.

I live in Iowa.. Both Iowa and Iowa State don't have many if any 4 stars on the team in its entirety.. But somehow they both play solid defense and put players in the NFL.
This is a sign of good coaching that develops players. Matt Campbell would be undefeated with this roster. There isn't a doubt in my mind.
