Touche!

With the finishing touch being that, technically, Jefferson COULD be redshirted so there's enough to cause a serious stir around here.

Of course, watch it happen and 1p becomes a prophet!

we have 2 QB's on scholarship and you want to Reshirt 1 of them....and for that matter the starter?

did this hit you in a dream? you been coming up with this brilliant plan for a while now? have you contacted the coaching staff yet?

The only problem with your theory is that you think one of our two returning QBs will be redshirted this season. Based on recent history, the greater likelihood is that LSU will need to use at least two QBs because of injury. It has happened eight of the last ten seasons, including last year.

I am hoping that the coaches realize this as well and give the non-starter quality snaps in every game so he will be ready when called upon.

haha jj is not redshirting. it is crazy to even assume that would happen. im not so sure at this point that i would want j lee to start against mcneese much less florida at home.

Emailed straight to miles@coachingstaff.com.

You know, they could always take the redshirt off JJ if JLee gets hurt. It's not like he's unavailable or anything.

Tyger1919 and Klark Kent have it right. We're so thin at QB, Miles couldn't do this if he wanted to.

Thank God JL didn't transfer, though, like a lot og rantards wanted him to. We'd be down to JJ and a walk-on.

OK, while I realize the premise of this thread is absolutely asinine (it's intended purpose), the reality is that it COULD be done.

Stop saying JJ couldn't be redshirted cause you might need him in case of an injury. You could always play him at any point in the season, he would just lose the redshirt.

OK, time to clock out of work now. Ya'll are fun.

So we don't play with a back up qb this year? Umm... that's not exactly a good strategy

You guys are laughing, but it could very well happen. It's been a long time since we've gone a season without losing our starting QB. If (God forbid) JJ was to suffer a season ending injury early in the year, he would probably be granted a medical redshirt (especially as he hasn't taken a redshirt year). ...But this is clearly not how we want to make our plans.

Since Tate Forcier is about to lose his starting job at Michigan to Robinson, maybe we sould put out some feelers to get him to LSU. Forcier could redshirt and be available when Lee and Jefferson leave. On second thought, if Michigan goes on probation, maybe we should contact Robinson,

This old lady really isn't football savvy but I am watching the rerun of the National Championship game on ESPNU and Gilbert, a true freshman quarterback substituting for Colt McCoy, is doing a heck of a job against Alababa.
What is wrong with a Freshman getting playing time? Obviously that is all that Texas had available.

You goofballs need to get a life - or a good woman. Never mind, all of you who believed that "serious" prognostication clearly would not know what to do with a good woman,...
