This doesn't bother me that much, what does bother me is that the fabric on the wall seems loose as shite.
The wall in center almost caught Thompson's triple it's so loose. Tighten it up... literally.

Tennessee has a high school stadium. Dumb comparison.

If you think the baseball team needs extra money to get this done, you’re wrong. Tenn got this commitment simply to keep the coach they got. No money there yet and they haven’t won shite. Yet the program thag actually makes some money cant make these upgrades. Arky had 3 upgrades in 5 years

Where do you move the pens?
Ask LSU, they are moving them after this season per Ronnie Rantz.
You can put them on either side of the batters eye, push the LF and RF bleachers back and put them in front, or put them the corners of foul territory.

That’s kind of the point. The team that currently plays in a shite stadium is about to have something nicer than us.

I agree that’s the best idea to have them beyond the OF wall. Shouldn’t move the foul line crowd further away from the field.

Behind the outfield fences.
But don’t move the fences up. Move the stands back.
I like that we play in the biggest park in the conference.

Like I said, I started my 1st post early in the thread, but by the time I submitted it there were 4 full pages. Your “wish list” seems more than reasonable, relatively inexpensive, and something we should easily be able to pay for. What’s stopping it from happening? Did Paul just not give a frick and it’s gonna take somebody like Jay that will do whatever it takes to give LSU even the slightest advantage?
Forgive me if I don’t buy into Madking’s assertion that Woodward not only doesn’t care about baseball or men’s basketball, but is going out of his way to actively sabotage their programs. So maybe Scott doesn’t have final say? Who does? Whose dick do we have to suck to get some fricking chair backs at the Box?

I don’t think this is it, as millions of dollars have been spent on baseball player facilities during Paul’s tenure. I think a lot of it has to do with priorities within the athletic department. I think players are prioritized over fans, which is why they have the new nutrition center for all athletes, new baseball performance center, new basketball practice facility, etc. After that, I think it’s football then everything else, which is why you see something new pop up involving football is seems like every offseason and it takes years for other sports to have a major project.

This weird revisionist history that Paul didn't give a frick or was set in his ways is weird.
Dude adapted fairly well with all the changes and LSU as a program was on the forefront of analytical data under him.

Y’all are hard to please. The box still rocks IMO. Looks and feels old, which was the whole point.

Nah, Tutko was still there.

This post lacks some self awareness.

He did it but they didn’t use it is my point. It was like a nice to know instead of actually applying it. Paul was still making lineups based on wind direction to the very end.

Use the term outdated if it helps you comprehend. It’s the same idea. The box was sold as being on the forefront of amenities while keeping the same feel from the old box. The only thing the same is the dimensions (which are wrong btw) and the LF bleachers. Nothing else carried over.

How does it look and feel old?
With the open concourse design, it was built to look and feel new, but it doesn't have the basic amenities that many of the new-style parks have. It feels very plastic.
That's not to say the atmosphere isn't fun as shite on super regional weekend or a big SEC series and it is still leaps and bounds a better facility than the old Box (love that place because of nostalgia, but it was trash), but it could be so much better.
