This.

God, I love Cam Cameron.

My main concern was diarse gaining bulk and looks like LSU and staff have done that, he could be absolutely lethal come fall.

Diarse should toss DBs around like rag dolls. Fits the scheme and I highly doubt a true freshman beats him out like others here seem to believe.

You really can't take a whole lot from these videos, but man, Diarse looks like a specimen out there.

No, I'm basing it off of watching a shite load of college football and any young QBs that have come around. Most have trouble with those types of routes.

They publish rosters along with player bios over at lsusports.net

Exactly! I saw the video and can't see how anyone can come to the conclusion that one QB or the other was better. I guess you see what you want to see.
And where is all this hoping Rettiq gets a fair chance coming from? Shouldn't we hope all of the QBs get a fair chance? Should Rettiq be placed in a special category over the others? I will trust Cam and Les to make the correct choice over some nincompoops with an agenda here.

Not sure how many have used the term "better". But certainly you can discern some things watching drills.

it's mostly coming from a concern that Miles has decided he wants a dual-threat attack and that Rettig's skill set may not be as suited as the other two for that, therefore he may be out by default and not through competition. I don't know if it's true, or not, but the argument does have merit. Although certainly some of it is coming from rantards channeling old JJ/JLee debates.

The main thing I took from the video is that Coach Cam is providing quality coaching; commenting on every aspect yet staying positive.
Posted on 3/13/14 at 9:16 am to ForeLSU
That's exactly what I mean by hoping he gets a fair shot.

I hope they all get a fair chance. Sometimes Les picks a favorite right away like JJ & we are stuck until he graduates!

Diarse is a big dude and a great kid. The incumbents always have the advantage, in the system a year or two longer, weight room, acclimated to college life and the speed of the SEC, etc. Having said that, doubters will always exist, lets give them all a fair shot.

Delusion runs strong in some of us.

It's a few minutes of one fricking drill in a two hour practice session! Some need to get a grip.

I guess they think Cam is not capable of watching full practices in the spring and fall and deciding who is the best QB for LSU, but they can.
As you said, leave the coaching to Cam and Les. I think they are probably better at it than any of us.

Drives me fricking insane.
"Rettig looks the best why isnt les giving him a shot durrrrrrrrrrrrrr"

I guess Les and Cam don't want the best QB to play.
Les, one of the most successful head coaches in college football, and Cam, one of the most respected OC around, are not going to give a shot too one of their own QBs for some reason.
Really, is that the thoughts of some?
