Yes casual.

Also, let’s have a little financial lesson. Is it easier to get better players spending Rev Share and NIL in recruiting and the portal by replacing the entire fricking roster, or focusing on replacing the spots we know we have to fill plus another 6-8 more?

Last I checked, it’s a lot easier to swing big in a non-revenue sport when you aren’t dumping everyone, especially those you know have talent and have shown it on the field at some point.

Because Yeskie has never put together a successful staff?

I don’t think Jay will force him out, but I could see him leaving for a smaller program where he could be a bigger contributor in his last season. It wouldn’t be a bad thing for him.

A lot of these guys legitmately cannot think past "look at da scoreboard!! kick da players off da team! Dey don't deserve to wear da purple n gold!!!11 (they don't have a degree from LSU).

They can't begin to conceptualize what any of their demands would actually result in.

You're right, there will likely be more.

Yeah, this isn't a secret that requires a fake "sauce."

We will be very aggressive in the portal for top talent. We are not going to fill the roster will portal entrants. Do you think Jay, after 4 years of saying he hates going to the portal for every level of player (with extra emphasis on that this season) is going to get 20+ guys out of the portal, many of whom won't contribute.

Maverick Rizy and Gavin Guidry aren't getting "kicked off the team" or whatever dumb shite you're insinuating. If Guidry wants to go start at Tech and Rizy gets a bag to go back home to Boston College, that could happen. They absolutely will not be served walking papers.

Jay got a nice NIL pay bump. There is going to be a mass exodus but believe whatever you want.

Weird you didn’t say this when he helped Kade Anderson or Anthony Eyanson. Or when he was dominating at other schools.

I guess this year he’s now a terrible coach.

Or maybe our fans are whiny bitches.

I know that. Again, he's not filling the roster with portal players. He'll go get a few impact guys in, like every successful program in the country (outside of UGA) does.

Yes, and he’s going to use it to buy some proven P4 starters and sign another great class, not replace an entire fricking roster

Shut the frick up

There is going to be a mass exodus of players. Cry about it all you want. I’m not ban betting the exact number of players leaving. But I know for a fact we got increased funds and with scholarships falling to 34 the cleaning house is coming

How many spots are at the Inn with scholarship reductions? Large high school class and dire need to upgrade talent but again believe what you want.

There are 38 on the current official roster.

9 will be out of eligibility (29)

2 are likely to leave for the draft (27)

It’s likely another 2-4 like Pearson, Yamin, Guidry and Lach will leave on their own to take on bigger roles elsewhere (24)

There will likely be 4-6 additional pitchers (Plog, Noot, Primeaux, Lach are the ones I lean towards, but let’s assume 5) told to walk (19)

Caraway won’t be back (18).

We could lose one of Bide or Serna if they both dig in on being the starting catcher, but hopefully not.

That’s at least 17 left, and this is a liberal assessment. We could easily bring back 19 to 21 because. We need the NIL to go as far as possible, and you acting like it’s unlimited is fricking laughable and casual as hell. That’s not how college baseball works, not even here.

Break down your shitty prediction, if you dare. Or you can make it official that you’re just throwing shite at the wall and praying it sticks.

I’m not interested in ban bets, but I think the odds are against you. There are going to be a few guys that the coaches let go, and there will probably be a few who leave on their own because they get better offers. If I had to guess I’d say 12 to 14 return.

That’s too few. I don’t think Jay lets that number get below 16. Based on what we know about Jay, my estimate of 17 may be too liberal.
