So how can you compare this team to Wade's second season you moron!! Did you forget the roster was gutted and this is technically his first year with a half decent roster and even that is plagued by injuries. I don't expect you to see reason but logic goes both ways!!!

The real question is what is he reason for this post 2 years later when the program is showing signs of recovering. So if MM gets to the NCAA next year he is somehow a lousy coach? These posts are useless and show you may need some emotional therapy. And I say this as a former Wade fan. I wish Wade was never fired but he was. It’s over. But it’s not like Coach K was let go. I am just sick and tired of this whining and bitching and complaining win or lose. He’s our coach and I’m going to support him until he gives me a reason not to and he hasn’t done that yet.

Compare this year to Wade’s second year. Wade had signed Naz Reid, Tremont Waters, Javonte and Darius Days

You do realize Wade was cheating and his actions results in the forced destruction of the program which is why McMahon can’t go out and easily attract great players, right?

Our recruiting is still a problem. That part is true.

It's almost as if CMM came to a program with significant recruiting violations. Maybe CWW shouldn't have gotten caught up in an FBI investigation? LSU Basketball cannot lift a finger without someone noticing for the next few years, so not surprising at all that we are not recruiting at a high level yet.

Another thing - how the frick did you expect McMahon to get anything done? We quite literally did not have a roster when he arrived. It was Transfer Portal or nothing.

This Wade vs McMahon thing is weird

It’s classic rant because they equate recruiting to picking off a shelf. They think LSU basketball should recruit like LSU baseball.

Honestly, he is building something and the entire fanbase needs to get behind him and actually be impressed with what is transpiring. Also, I am saying this with not being a fan of firing Will Wade.

We have a chance to go 10-8 in the SEC while Wade went 9-9 his last year with a much better team. Tari Eason (NBA), Darius Days (G-League), and Xavier Pinson (G-League) are much better than anyone on this roster... and they went 9-9 in a weaker SEC

That team was a 6 seed in the NCAA tournament. What seed is LSU this season?

Why does that matter when they lost in the 1st round bc the coach was suspended? Ah, nvm he had already been fired after being notified of violations from NCAA

Coach Wade is a great coach and I wish he were still at LSU

BUT he isn't and he won't be. He also wasn't perfect. We had an entire season loaded with offensive talent scoring 90 alot of games and he never taught the players how to switch properly on the perimeter when he was running a "switch everything" defense. Go watch how many times that year teams got easy slips to the basket for wide open layups because we didn't switch properly. And it happened every game all year and was never corrected. So Wade had major weaknesses as a coach but worked extremely hard and recruited well.

LSU had the most SEC wins of any program in the conference from 2019-2021. The 2022 team was 15-1 before Pinson blew out his knee. The revisionist history about Will Wade is fricking hilarious.

LSU made the NCAA tournament 6 times in 24 seasons before Will Wade was hired. LSU made the NCAA tournament 4 seasons in a row under Will Wade.

Wade nearly killed our program getting those recruits.

Woodward killed the program to save football. Kansas AD told the NCAA to frick off, and we could have done the same.

This is vastly approaching Saban vs Miles lunacy on this board. “Wade didn’t win shite” ok. Yea. No. You’re a fricking retard. Is he “winning shite” at a doormat program a couple hours down the road with a roster full of juco and low major transfers? Yea he is because, and this statement im about to make has no ill effect towards McMahon…HES A GOOD COACH

In one corner: the Wade brigade who cant move on

In the other corner: tMcMen who have overlooked every good moment from that era

Would anyone care to join me in the middle and just see where this thing goes heading into next season?

I liked Wade and didn’t like HOW he was let go (firing him before the tournament was an absolute chicken shite move…anyone should be able to admit that) but damn i want McMahon to get us back to being a consistent tournament program

We have the most retarded fanbase in college sports history

Same people who think Saban “wasn’t that great” only won here bc DiNardo left a few toys in the box and only won at bama bc he delved out dodge chargers.

“Didn’t win shite”

Was good enough for 4 straight NCAA tournaments at a school that only made 6 in the previous 24 seasons.

Love people still think “streetball” is a legitimate complaint. LSU ranked at the top of offensive efficiency every season.

I’m not a huge basketball fan, so I don’t follow the basketball stuff as close as some of y’all, but this will wade obsession has got to stop…

He’s gone y'all. He ain’t coming back. Please, for the love of god, stop making so many damn WW threads.

Unfortunately hes going to keep being brought up until some coach (whether it's McMahon or someone else), shows that they can make lsu a winner again and back into the ncaa tourney consistently.
