Exactly, LSU has to fix one of the biggest calls in school history in post bc Jim can't tell the difference in a white DB & a black WR. Oh but he bleeds purple & gold so I guess we'll give him a pass.

.. on a scale of 1 to 10 how douchey of a move is this now nearly ten years later?
Usually people make fun of other people to hide the fact that they suck at life and are a huge disappointment to the human race.
Monkeys probably laugh at them at the zoo realizing their pathetic existence is worse than eating their own vomit in public.
As much as people make fun of him, he probably has accomplished more than those laughing and leads a happy life while those ridiculing him are merely arse clowns looking for cheap laughs to somehow fill a void left by their inadequacies .

I think it is entirely appropiate for all of us who have never made a mistake in their lives.
For those of you who have made mistakes (and you know who you are) it is pretty ignorant and childish.

I think it's funny, but I'm an immature douche.

It's douchey enough. Why people have to hate on Jim? He's an alright guy, and if you ever hear play-by-play around the rest of the redneck idiots in the SEC, you'll thank your stars for the Big H. I dig the guy, and I get pumped everytime I hear him take the mic.

I mean, at this point, how can a real tiger fan say he'd prefer someone else on there? He's been around forever.

The editing of the call by LSU is terrible.

I think the original is funny, and shows how lost in the moment he was. It captures the improbability and insanity of what was going on.

I do wish Someone would slap Jim every time he says Third Sacker, or Second Sacker during Baseball games though. That just grates on me to no end.

FWIW, the Auburn play-by-play guys (some AU friends of mine had them on while we watched the series from the parking garage) were just as bad, if not worse.

Hanagriff>>>>>>>Jim. Charles may be a lil monotone, but he knows baseball,& doesn't continually make silly, ignorant or just plain lazy mistakes. & he let's play develop before proclaiming the pop-out a HR.

X1000

Just get over it folks. A mistake in a radio call and people go on and on about it. You must have no life if that pisses you off.

Totally classless. It bespeaks the Neanderthal element of our fanbase.

I don't think badgering Jim on the Jack Hunt call is an insult, I think of it more as just a funny slip-up that is ingrained in our minds as one of the great moments in LSU football.. As someone said earlier, it speaks to the insanity of the play all together, and the randomness of what occurred.

Which is worse: the Bluegrass Miracle call or the recording of Country Memories?
