You clearly don’t understand that their mobility was in extending plays and stepping up into the pocket and delivering. I guarantee they don’t have as many plays of running back wards and air mailing balls out of bounds off their back foot. Nuss seems very timid at times and gets happy feet. Hopefully he settles in a little bit better under pressure with more experience.

He looked good when he tucked it and ran it around left end

And he looked terrible when he had to slide behind the line against a 1-AA team

He is mobile in the pocket, even in the game against Ga a few years ago, he was spinning out of tackles and rolling out and hitting big plays.

Nobody is saying he's a statue when passing.

This is about his role in the running game

this is just these guys not wanting nuss.

Nobody is doing this. Why create a straw man?

People are fine with Nuss. He's just not mobile.

Stetson Bennett ran a 4.67

UM reported JJ ran a 4.48. Even if you gave him a 0.2 bump (due to team reporting), that's a 4.68

Who thinks Nuss can run sub-4.7?

Worried your post count needed pumping up? You really need to post less, not more. The comment about throwing more shite against the wall than a baby monkey…you and LE both fit that description.

I don't really post much on the rant anymore, so again,

This offense performance is not a QB problem

It’s on the coaches

Searching for a dual great running qb that can also be a great passing threat is rare

Teams will stack the box until LSU takes advantage downfield

Running game has been a mess since 2018. That’s where we abandoned all hope ye who enter on short yardage and started trying to be “modern”

We got by in 2019 because of clyde’s spin move

No, OP did.

I, like Les, said that with this simplistic run scheme we wouldn't be able to run without JD occupying the focus of the weakside edge

If you want a great example of why, look at the 3rd and 1 against USC that was blown up. That would never have happened against JD b/c they all sold out to the RB, but the weakside edge most of all.

yap

people talk a lot of noise about Les but I don't think people are burning through the tape like he has, bruv

Truth is Les knows ball and they would be wise to listen to the lad

"Modern" is right, b/c you can see all over how other teams manufacture a good run scheme without being under center.

From da Joe Brady awfens to today, we just over-rely on the simple zone read from shotgun.

I have to clarify, we aren't running much zone read now and didn't with Burrow. It's just inside zone like 85-90% of the time.

Even Denbrock's dumbass figured out to use a lot more pistol (and shifting pre-snap from shotgun to pistol and vice versa) in 2023

I mean it wasn’t really hard to tell and Josh Williams simply not it. LSU better get them younger backs ready to go.

Starting to see a trend with CBK. He can’t put it all together, every year there is something missing. JD gave him an extra year to breathe. Do we know why Diggs left? He was better than what we have and proved he could run the ball with this line. He got injured and from what I remember got healthy, took a few more snaps and then mysteriously disappeared and it was covered as an injury, then he transfers. And then you lose markway. We couldn’t retain at minimum 1 of 2 DTs who had exponential room for growth that would have undoubtedly helped us, couldn’t retain your former HB1 and couldn’t retain your best blocking TE. So who’s the issue?
