LSU has been the heel in the SEC for decades, according to fans of other SEC schools. Drunk Cajun trash. Piss bombs. Lighting the Auburn car on fire. Hitting an Ole Miss band member in the head with an empty liquor bottle at halftime (1980? 1981?), etc etc etc.
But ask 99% of visiting fans who don’t act like jackwagons what their game day experience was like and it’s the complete opposite.

I don't know. This is a guy who seems to have a clear deficit of character, as evidenced by the manner in which he's left (or been fired from) several high profile jobs, including his most recent one at Ole Miss. The Ole Miss break might end up being messier than even any of his previous departures, that remains to be seen. It's not like his track record on the field is even all that impressive (at least in terms of what LSU is expecting), he's been to ONE premier bowl game his entire career as a head coach.
I could see him having some success here (not necessarily even a national championship), then bolting for the first better opportunity (NFL HC, Alabama, etc.). The expectations here are close to Alabama level - a guy like that has no problem taking the easy way out and bolting if he can't meet those expectations...

Let's hope that Kiffin can at least get LSU to win a national championship game during his presumably short 4-5 year stay at LSU. If he has a lot of success at LSU, I'm expecting an NFL team to get into his ear. Then Kiffin will do the same thing to LSU that he did to Tennessee and Mississippi.
