I agree that if there's no proof of payment to a player, I don't there's any rules violation or law broken. Discussing the situation doesn't look good, but it's doesn't prove anything. I think right now it's a wait and see situation until more comes out. If it comes out that money was discussed as far as they paid a player and it can be proven, then it's a different story and Wade will be fired. Until then, let's just continue to kick tail and make a strong run in the NCAA tournament. Geaux Tigers!

From the looks of the transcripts the only thing that saves Wade and LSU is if Wade was part of a sting operation working with the FBI.

Why is the FBI investigating whether a college coach paid a player or not? Seems a bit much, no?

ESPN desperately wants LSU to get fricked over by the NCAA. I've never seen them turn on a coach this quickly over something that wasn't related to sexual misadventure or violence.

The FBI better tap the phones of all the NCAA basketball coaches. I'm positive the conversations are the same across the board.

Well there’s equally documented proof that Kansas, Duke, Louisville, Arizona, and Alabama all do the same thing.

Safe to say there’s more

All schools make offers to recruits. I do not see this as any thing more.

A scholarship is an offer. Without a money trail or specific numbers this is literally nothing.

It is. But since when is the scholarship also offered to the mother and the handler? You need to read the whole quote.

In context, it is awful. I am not saying that we should cancel the postseason but Wade, and by extension LSU, could be in very hot water after this trial.

This does not sound like a scholarship:

quote:

The problem was, I know why he didn’t take it now, it was [expletive] tilted toward the family a little bit,” Wade continued. “It was tilted toward taking care of the mom, taking care of the kid. Like it was tilted towards that. Now I know for a fact he didn’t explain everything to the mom. I know now, he didn’t get enough of the piece of the pie in the deal.”

This stands out like 'he', whomever, did not take an offer due to

Maybe they want WW to explain what offer he is talking of? That it is not an offer from LSU or WW but some other party.

I read the whole quote. I’ve also read Thamels hack pieces before on us. Multiple ones. He’s yet to have any of his shite amount to anything. It’s simple, there were money trails with other schools that got caught previously. This is nothing and nothing is going to come of it.

Are you folks even reading the article? WW made the offer to the third party.

“Dude,” Wade continued to Dawkins, referring to the third party involved in the recruitment, “I went to him with a [expletive] strong-arse offer about a month ago. [Expletive] strong.

I think men's BB is going to set a record for schools under penalties. But it will not happen until the trials are wrapped up. The NCAA cannot talk to people who are under possible criminal investigation because they will clam up. When the trials are over the NCAA will be moving in to probably as many as a dozen schools, if not more.

Either this is poorly written or Wade is talking to Dawkins about a third party involved in the recruitment of a player.
