Let’s see.
Wade made an off the cuff comment with no proof to substantiate.
Zion’s mom was paid by Duke boosters.

Hey let’s go after LSU.
Makes perfect sense to Yahoo.

What's sad is that Yahoo's way of reporting politics and everyday news has trickled into it's sports reporting. "Just hurry and try to get some clicks, who gives a shite if it's accurate."

Too many big fish to go after LSU.

That is the problem, to maintain the facade of a legitimate regulatory agency the NCAA has to occasionally crack down on a school, and it is not going to be one of the "big fish".

Click bait is about all Yahoo does these days. Yahoo is primarily inflammatory titles attached to articles without substance.

This is too played out, the FBI didn't want him to testify. That tells everyone everything they need to know.

The Mathieu family had grounds for a restraining order against Thamel yet he is somehow still getting paid to write. The “groundbreaking” series he tried to do with SI against OK State ran out of steam by day 2 and is likely why he’s no longer employed there. The guy is the biggest hack in all of sportswriting.

The more fans respond on social media and call in shows the longer it will be in the public eye.
Its no more than click bait and ploys to get viewers.
Fienbaum, Forde, and Guilbeau make their living irritating folks so they respond.
Ignore their daily blather. They don't know anymore than the fans.
Proof: How many of the "experts" predicted Wade would be back over the weekend.
Vanilla Ice has better reporting skills.

“the NCAA hasn’t started their investigation yet”

The FBI released a statement before all this crap even started asking the NCAA and involved universities to not react or start any investigations until the FBI was done. This is not anything new. And the only information the FBI can release to the NCAA legally is what is mentioned in open court. Nothing else can be used against anyone. This includes the leaked wiretap conversations with Will Wade on it. If it isn't used in open court it will not be released to the public and won't be used by the NCAA. But yea, the NCAA has a lot of investigating to do, specifically Louisville, NC State and Kansas, all of whom had someone indicted in the FBI indictment against Gatto (or however his name is spelled) and Dawkins. That is where the NCAA will start. They sure as hell won't start with Will Wade and won't get to Will Wade, they have nothing now and won't have shite then on Will Wade. Will doesn't have to prove himself innocent to the NCAA, as Dick Vitale demands before he will apologize, the burden of proof is still on the NCAA in that regard.

“NCAA enforcement sources”

Just like their sources told them the FBI was in Baton Rouge investigating Will Wade's recruiting tactics? That same source. Eventually these Yahoo reports are going to be like the boy that called wolf. People are already seeing how they were lied to and reports were sensationalized and overblown. There is nothing to see in BR. But what else can they do now to try and save face? They are looking like fools to the public so they are doing everything they can to salvage their reputations. Pretty soon though, when the NCAA starts handing out sanctions to those universities and coaches actually involved, they won't be talking about Will Wade and LSU anymore. So sick of these jackasses!

Well if it’s many, shouldn’t many schools have suspended their coaches? I mean, isn’t that the right thing to do when you have unsubstantiated, slanted reporting? Suspend your coach?

All the article does is rehash the Wade reinstatement news, their March 7th inflammatory article that put the Wade suspension in motion and stating this (which everyone knows):

quote:
Despite being reinstated, Wade appears to be far from finished with his involvement in the college basketball scandal. Wade and Arizona coach Sean Miller have been subpoenaed by defense attorneys to appear in the second of three federal trials of college basketball figures, which is scheduled to begin April 22 in New York. Federal prosecutors have filed a motion to keep the coaches from having to testify in that trial.

Beyond that, it is unclear where the NCAA inquiry into LSU and Wade stands. It likely would be in its beginning stages. NCAA Enforcement representatives told Yahoo Sports that they have been waiting for the feds to finish their work before fully launching what figures to be many investigations.

I hope you can all comprehend how fricking stupid LSU'S Administration is. We just came off of our best regular season in decades, going into tournament play with arguably the most talented and deep team in the country and one stupid fricking uncorroborated subjective bullshite article, with zero new information, from the least fricking credible news source on the planet and our Administration folded like a dollar bill in a strip club and ran to the fricking hills.

Totally fricking pathetic.

I'm glad Wade is back and I hope he can undue the damage done to the program and recruiting but holy shite, Joe needs to go.

Along with frick Alexander.
