Ya Gotta Love The Rant!

What most people don’t understand is the parity in SEC baseball is in large part created by the dynasty that used to be LSU baseball. Almost every team in the SEC is ranked so there are no cakewalks anymore and LSU isn’t going to shred everyone anymore.
PM has the most wins of any active coach and is 12th all time in wins. Those of you who think he’s going to be fired need to wake up and realize that ain’t happening.
I long for the 90’s of gorilla ball and 5 NC’s in 10 years but those days are over. That doesn’t mean I don’t get frustrated but it’s time for many to get a reality check.
Until then I’ll keep coming for the humorous rants!

YOU also need to realize that another side effect of those 5 titles is high expectations.
We are the premiere program in college baseball, and we need to act like it.
That comes with expectations, and like it or not, there will always be fans upset when our performance isn't optimal.
So your "perspective" goes two ways.

I enjoy being a barely above average team without a realistic shot at a championship each and every year. Just winning more games than what they are losing is the greatest accomplishment. These guys deserve a trophy for that.

One thing I noticed about LSU fans in here. A good amount and in all sports. They will make some excuses for average to below average I swear lol. LSU used to be soooooooo much better than this as a program.

Expectations are one thing!! Reality is another! LSU has a good team. Not great! I’ll just wait and see how the season unfolds. And I’ll cheer on my Tigers. But I’ll continue to amuse myself with the comments and all the people who think PM is going to be fired. Keep drinking the lemonade.

Yeah, the top five teams in baseball are SEC teams. And LSU is not one of them. Let that sink in.

More rantards who don’t even read and assume what isn’t there. Never once in any comment did I say I’m satisfied with the parity or below average play. People love to miss the point.
The point is you can complain all you want but PM isn’t going to be fired. Les was a bumbling idiot. There is a difference between needing to go and the reality of him being fired. He won’t! I’m not satisfied with mediocrity! Having expectations is a lot different than reality.

Do you realize that in the 90s there were sometimes 3 and 4 SEC teams in Omaha in the same season. The SEC was always tough. This isn’t a new phenomenon. The difference is LSU used to be the best in the SEC, we aren’t anymore.

You may choose to be an apologist for CPM and the mediocrity of LSU baseball now, but that doesn’t mean the rest of us need to be.
It’s not that LSU isn’t “shredding” everyone now, it’s that we’re deficient in key metrics every year now.
LSU baseball is the gold standard in the SEC, and yet under CPM we trot out every year with the attitude that we’re just happy to be invited to the party.
CPM isn’t the answer and hasn’t been for several years now.
