while everyone else was stomping on his ribs and his entire body. It was really fricked up. The football team then proceeded to drive off in
two cars, one black truck and one monte carlo.
also, lol @ "machineboy"
can always tell when somebody is getting pissy based on the names they call other people

the rant rumor machine has several folks claiming JJ is pretty much a jerk in person, so who knows
He is a nice kid, not the smartest one though. Its a lot harder to talk to him than Matt Flynn, so he may seem like a jerk. But its cause he isnt well articulated.

His articulation isn't the best, but I have heard much, MUCH worse from jocks.

The 11:35 update of the WAFB story said Fisher does not expect charges to be filed. The latest version of the story, updated at 11:46, removed that statement and states only that Fisher says that no charges have been filed "at this point". Why the revision? Anyone have video or a direct quote what Fisher actually said?

I wouldn't get to excited over the players attorneys comment that no charges were expected to be filed. He's a defense attorney so he's going to say whatever he can to make his clients look good.

It makes me sick that people are trying to justify what is rumored, mocking the alleged victims etc.
No one is defending the players for fighting. But we are also not buying these guys got jumped buy a gang of football players. there is a diff from being suspended and spending five years in prison jack arse.

Who said he was. Nobody knows. This is no more than a game to me until, minimally, the initial police report comes out.

Have you gone to the police?

so what is your reason for taking up for the supposed "victims"?
obviously i just want Mett to start. it has nothing to do with people watching JJ kick the shite out of somebody.

Then you have come up with the above bullshite. Why would you say that?
Have you not read all the holier than though responses to the team being out after curfew and at a bar?
I find it pretty telling that on friday people were on here stating forget the fact they were involved in a fight they need to be suspended for skipping curfew. Then when the number is 50 players missed curfew it was well the 4 guys in the fight should be disciplined but the ones who missed curfew should only be dealt with at practice. Quite hipocritical if you ask me. Why not stick to your guns if you were calling for all the players who missed curfew to get suspended. So why shouldn't some fans be able to defend the players when the whole story wasn't known. I guess we should have all been calling for any player that missed curfew to be suspended.
ETA: seems like mopst of the posters also just wanted JJ suspended. I have seen posts stating I hope Jarvis Landry doesn't get kicked off the team he is a freshmen and may be really good. That is bullshite

have you gone to the police with your account of the event?

Obviously some basis to it, don't think JJ's going down to talk to the police about the benefits of running the option to the short side of the field.
No hes prob going to say i didnt kick anyone, the guy doesnt have any serious injury.
Now we have no idea what happen with the other 3 guys. But JJ allegedly kicked the marine. no one else.

So that's not your account, but rather something that was POSTED ON AN ANONYMOUS MESSAGE BOARD?
And you wonder why people are making fun of you?

I so agree with this, not that it makes a shite bit of difference.
The original quote was mine, and I 75% agree with you. People talk in Baton Rouge and these are people with reputations and feelings. Do unto others.
That, and I would hope we in Louisiana are more intelligent that to spout opinions for the world to see without facts, making us look bad and thinking-impaired. Yes, people will do it, anyway, but fewer is better.
But, generally, it won't have much real world impact. I'm just trying to put myself in other people's shoes. I get into a bar fight, it is likely broken up and it's over. These guys are on the front page.

stick your head back in the sand, ostrich
and relax, this is Baton Rouge, it will all most likely be swept under the rug anyway.

From the Times Pic/nola.com:
WAFB's reporting is shite.
quote:
"There were no charges promised and no charges not promised," Fisher said. "After today, I think they have some more investigating to do."
WAFB's reporting is shite.
