WVUE Channel 8 New Orleans Anti-LSU

Channel 8 rarely carries LSU sports news, but when it does it's after a loss, or after a player is in trouble, etc. Not to be a conspiracy theorist, but the station owner IS Tom Benson who owns the Saints and Pelicans and he IS a ruthless businessman. Can we say slam any possible rival for the entertainment dollars available?

That's because the ratings for general college sports news in NOLA is pretty low. Residents care more about the area pro teams

I watch WVUE news almost every day at 5am into the 6am time-slot, and if there's ANY negative LSU sports news, it will be on the air!! The one game baseball loss to Arkansas was shown OVER AND OVER with video highlights, and the Jeremy Hill arrest was their lead-in sports story. RARELY is there coverage on baseball wins...

NOLA TV covers LSU baseball exponentially more than they cover the Zs and they are the ONLY team in NOLA.
