I don’t think entitlement is appropriate. I think I speak for the majority of fans when I say that we don’t expect LSU to win, or play for, the championship every year. That’s not realistic, but, at the same time, there is no reasonable excuse for LSU to field a team as bad as what we have seen this season. LSU should always be competitive, they’re just too big of a brand with adequate resources. This staff made some mistakes in evaluating players this year and I think they’ll learn from them and be better for them next year. With that being said, it sure is going to stink watching post season baseball without our Tigers being in it!

We also lost 2/3 of our starting pitching which wasn't the best to start with.
Then add Stanfield, Brown, Pearson, etc.. of feilders. So being a team on the border made this all much worst.

its a bad season, you don't need to read your personal pet issue of being anti-analytics into it.
the movie moneyball was about you, really, old time thinking that some nebulous "he plays the game the right way" meant something relative to actual tangible data.
fastball, velocity, spin rate, batted ball exit velo, that stuff isn't fancy math for dweebs, it matters. JJ knows this and has two Nattys.

I think I remember that Paz, Sheerin, and Evans all hit 98 later in the season. Pleanty of velo on this team but control and especially location is non-existent.
But these guys didn't walk/hit this many batters when they were at previous school or high school or Jay would not have signed them. So what happened from then to now? Bad pitching coashing? Or is it that the bright lights cause mental and mechanical mistakes, that they just can't play in these high leverage situations.

I don't think has more than 5 players and 0 pitchers that could make the Ga roster. Wes Johnson is way ahead of JJ at this point.

Yes, and not even close.
That season* was the perfect storm of losing everyone and not having any time for a new team to gel. Then losing your starting QB. Honestly O should have been applauded for going 5-5 in what was an exhibition year.
