Right. We would camp out in line the day before student tickets were issued during the Chris Jackson/ Shaq days.

None of my friends watch basketball. Damn, I think the bball fans might be more intense than the football fans. There are just way less of y'all

Dude seriously, just watch plays develop, watch the individual ball technique and the exciting slams and big time 3 balls, and watch for physical in your face defense and big time blocks... shite is hype

I'll try. Hopefully the game I catch is a good one. It will be nice to have something LSU to he into between football and baseball

If LSU wins.more.games like this, this year you will see.more Pike us, kinda hard to get the people.to leave home to go.to the game when you are losing faithfully, but this team looks.much better than the past 2 years

I honestly couldn't give less of a shite about basketball either. Don't get me wrong im glad we won im an LSU fan I want us to with every game we play in every sport we field a team. However you wont ever catch me at a game be it a mid season meaningless game or the finals. I just don't enjoy the sport. It is possible to just not like basketball people. I hated playing it in high school and I've always hated watching it.

However that being said im extremely happy about the win tonight. Its huge for the program

I literally spend hours looking at opposing team stats and team stats. I love Lsu hoops and there are others like me.

So what you're saying is you are a geek who really didn't play a lot of sports as a kid ? No problem, I have a Bro in law like that.

LSU Basketball >>>>>> LSU Baseball

I'm not sure I would watch a MLB World Series Game in my backyard. I only watch LSU baseball once/if they get to the regionals.

I love LSU basketball. Not as much as football, but the gap between football and basketball is smaller than the gap between basketball and baseball for me.

Basketball is the most climatic i think, with many lead swings, and it seems like half the games come down to the wire.

This. Basketball has an ebb and flow to it that football and baseball don't really have.

Football you are only playing half the game at a time. You are either on defense or on offense. Baseball is interesting, but a very slow game and at times can be a very individualistic team sport.

Basketball is constantly moving and flowing. Transitioning from offense to defense. Setting screens, moving the ball around, jumping up for rebounds. The whole game is just intense back-and-forth action. There is very little down time in basketball (even when teams aren't scoring).

When I was a kid, LSU football wasn't great, a lot of friends grew up as bigger LSU basketball fans that football fans.

I was at LSU from 1983 to 1987 in undergrad and from 1988-1991 in law school. So I was privileged to see some great teams. There were even times you had to camp out a day or two before big games to get a seat (back then you only needed to show a student ID to get in). I hope the program continues to improve.

I'm with you on that one. I've Just seen LSU more as a football 1st, baseball second school. It seemed that they were trying to give away tickets to get people to go to a game when I was in college

Funny thing- when I was first at LSU, Skip Bertman would come to basketball games to pitch the baseball program and encourage students to go to those games. Shows you what winning will do for any LSU sport.

I support all LSU sports. It's nice follow a team that can be relevant in all sports.

Yup. Hard to garner real passion watching a sport you don't really enjoy played poorly by a School you love. Hopefully this year will be different. I'm gonna try to catch the next big game and see what all you bball fans are talking about.

nothing gets broadcasted besides football....
(outside of BR)

so interest is lost as well as the connection.
not to mention the crappy seasons we have had the last few, but mainly is the lack of access.
