I highly doubt this affects him in any major way. This late in the process teams already know what he's about and if he's their guy, he's their guy. A watered down piss sample isn't gonna change that.
bingo

Well that sounds like slander. He never tested positive for a banned substance, his test was simply flagged for containing dilute urine.

I'm puzzled by this. Usually a flagged test that's "diluted" also has traces of something in it. If mett's test was JUST diluted & it was what his PT says it is, then why would it matter?

it's all assumptions right now...that's the problem

What happened showed incredibly poor judgement.

Not for quarterback prospects. Especially QB prospects already with baggage.
Ok so drinking a lot of water to prevent cramps under the advice of a trainer is incredibly poor judgement?
I love you holier-than-thou types.

It is leaked unfortunately, so you would have to find the leak to find the slanderer. Chances of that happening, slim to none.

I'm not concerned at all. Look at the people who were worried about the Honey Badger.

I suspect he was referring to Mett being kicked off the team at Georgia. This is even cited on his nfl.com draft analysis: "Character will require closer scrutiny."
However, I think he has done plenty to show that he has matured since his time at Georgia.

Different situation TM was an ex-heisman finalist Mett is not even considered in the top 10 at his position. Also even though Honey Badger was out of football for a year, he was not coming off major surgery to his knee. And lastly Badger kind of got lucky regarding what round he was drafted. Peterson really went to bat for his friend and basically went to the coaches and management and said he would put TM under his wing and make sure he stayed on the straight and narrow. So things just kind of fell into place for TM he was pretty lucky. Ended up being Arizona is the lucky one.

I'm pretty pissed at Mett about this.
serious question:
why?
in what way does mett's draft stock affect you that you should be pissed at him about it?

I'll reserve judgement until all of the facts surface but it doesn't look great for Mett.

so is it just me or do you find it odd how J Winston isnt getting raked over the coals for something that is pretty much illegal any where in the world and Mett is for something that is an assumption although, if legitimately failed, the act is legal in a few states here...J Winston's criminal act probably will not be brought up ever again

How do you get cramps? From working out.
Mett wasn't working out the week of the combine. He was there for interviews and tests. He was in 0 danger of cramping up from an interview, the wonderlic, or getting measured. He drank the water to dilute his sample because a flagged sample due to dilution is better than a flat out positive test.
