No.

But I would have been fine giving Mullen the deal he got and chip kelly the deal he got before settling with O.

I would’ve exhausted a lot more options. We were fricking the first university looking for a new coach by a mile last year.

Doesn't Orgeron and Canada's combined salary equal around $7.5mil? It's a bargain if you get a Head Coach, elite recruiter, and sure up your offensive system all with one guy. Your players don't have to learn a new system when your OC moves on for a head coaching job in year 3-4 too.

Also, if it doesn't work out, you can cut ties around year 5-7 and just buy him out since they are $$$ loaded and you get to start all over. In our situation, we would have to wait out Orgeron getting a chance to go through his staff and fire/replace them all before his head gets on the chopping block which is likely 5-7 years anyway unless the wheels come off entirely.

If LSU ends up with the same 9-3, 8-4 mediocrity, we will be stuck with Orgeron for just as long as A&M will be stuck with Fisher.

His contract is fully guaranteed, it's a terrible deal for aTm imo
why? besides saban & meyer, he has the best resume out there, i don't blame a&m for doing this. he rebuilt florida st, & won multiple titles

No, but on the other hand, I could see us making a similar type of play in 2021.

No, 10 years is way too long - leads to coach complacency. I think Jimbo just got his golden parachute. A7M will come on strong and fade fast.

Don't get me wrong I was all for jimbo the last 2 years but fully guaranteeing him 75M I don't agree with.

The richest contract in cfb history. It's either playoffs or bust with that deal

I didn't want him so, no.

Had I wanted him.... I would have done it in a heartbeat. You don't bean count in those positions. No time to got second hand clothing shopping. Pay what you gotta pay for the suit of the display rack.
