So 1 game better than the season that almost got miles fired?

Miles was trending down and there was no reason to believe he was going to turn it around. O has a good chance to reach 10-11 wins in his second season even with the tough schedule and injuries on the o-line.

Assured ny6 bowl? We dont know if they take uga over us. They are more relevant than lsu lately

The only way UGA ends up in a NY6 bowl (assuming they lose to Bama) is if we lose another game. They will not jump us after being beat by 20. It’s not going to happen. LSU will be ranked higher in the CFP rankings and get in before UGA.

Hell we have been down by 2 scores for more time than we have been tied.

Cool, so you'd rather keep the guy with the guaranteed loss to Bama rather than try someone new? Sure, that works if you like the definition of insanity.

No where in this thread have I advocated that Orgeron was an upgrade over Miles. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. He's going to determine that if he fixes the offense or not. But you can't honestly say that Miles's time at LSU wasn't up. He had plenty of notice and opportunity to fix it and completely and utterly mislead everyone leading into that 2016 season that we'd see a better, new and improved offense.

LSU won in spite of Les Miles due to the talent on the team. But let the morons continue to believe otherwise.

Les Miles is the most overrated coach in the history of LSU. He is Larry Coker. I wish you ignorant people will stop bringing this idiot up. He is not a championship coach. Sabans players won that

You can't have one of the most accomplished tenures in sec history, during the most dominant era of sec football ever, and not be a good coach.

But still, yes. You take the championship coach every time.

no. the past is the past with Les Miles. he allowed his loyalty to his OC and DC (Chavis) blind him. the program was in decline due to lousy recruiting on the lines and the lack of an offense. he didn't even try to develop a passing attack. in addition to alabama, there were times that ole miss and Arkansas, msu and auburns lines overpowered ours.

it was time to move on and frankly, I think Orgeron is elevating the program. whether he elevates it enough for a championship remains to be seen.

We havent even solidified that we are a 2 loss team.

There is zero chance a ny6 bowl chooses a 3 loss lsu team over a 2 loss uga. It aint happening brother.

He laid out some scenarios that pretty much had LSU in no matter what. I wish I could remember all of it. It was on in the background when I heard it.

If LSU was to lose to A&M and the lose to some top 20 team in whatever bowl game, I think the conversation changes immensely. But, as of now LSU is 8-2 and a top 10 team. I don't think anyone should be talking about replacing the head coach. That's just my opinion.

As if O isn't a guaranteed loss.

Id rather have neither but yes i think Miles is a better coach than O and his resume proves it.
For 32 of his 36 years career no one thought enough of O's coaching to let him run a defense, let alone a program.

While Miles was justly fired here.
He proved he could wear the crown of cfb, the sec and the west

Quite possibly the dumbest thing in the history of the tiger rant, since its conception .

Do yall remember that we fired him for the lack of open- mindedness.

That was recent, what's changed?

I think the fact that every year we fell apart after the bama game and had the worst clock management in the history of college football has been forgotten by some

Miles was trending down

Not really. This has been debunked. His 2015 season was a rebound from the 2014 season where he finished 4-4 in conference. Don't know how you can call that trending down.

If that's what you want to believe that's your prerogative but it's contrary to the evidence.

It was. I wanted him gone after 2015.we were robbed of seeing that 2016 team play to its potential by keeping miles.

My first thought as well and I think since we've seen this movie before that we shouldn't let it drag on if it looks like a repeat.

His clock management cost us 2 games in 11 years.

Its looks just like it too.

Miles= great recruiter/ motivator

Married to an outdated philosophy

O= great recruiter/ motivator

Married to an outdated offensive philosophy

If o would just hire a young and talented oc and get out of the way. I firmly believe he could be very successful here.

Pete Carroll let o do whatever he wanted. He trusts that man more then anyone and hes a damn good evaluater of talent..

I think some of the people on here that hate coach o, should read his book meat market. It's about recruiting and it follows o for a whole season at Mississippi. I promise, it will make you respect the man alot more...

The dude is super organized and has an obsession with recruiting that's unreal. He's a hard working son of a butch and we're not in any danger of him just sitting back and collecting a check ,that's a fact
