quote:Totally agree! I think we'd have seen a totally different season if BH would have been given more of a chance. Auburn blew it for him, and the coaches did not want to take that chance again. You better believe he realizes what he has to do to win the position.
It's silly though, because LSU may have actually won more games with Harris. I don't see any games that QB play determined the winning outcome.. but I do see games like Mississippi St that could have been different given a different approach to start. Harris had one bad start,, but aside from that he not only has been the more talented guy, he's been the most productive with the offense.. JT Barrett of Ohio St lost to VT at home, but then became nearly a heisman candidate since..
Look for a new quarterback next year, and he'll be wearing #6.

You can't compare a qb at OSU to LSU.
1. OSU was stacked and promed for a playoff run and all they had was a ? at QB to start the season
2. Barrett was a redshirt freshman not a true freshman
3. OSU played a much much much easier schedule

I believe and hope like hell that Harris will be the starter (unless a JUCO guy comes in and beats him out) in 2015 and he will start slow, but will be good to go by the middle of the season.

No. Up until the Arkansas loss, LSU had plenty to play for. You play the guy that gives you the best chance to win each week. While Jennings wasn't really good this year, our losses were not only on the QB. We had major OL, DL and MLB issues early this year.
You go tell La'el and the other seniors on the team in early fall that we are going to play for 2015 even if that means we will incur a couple more losses and finish around 7-5. Miles would have lost the team before the season started.

Anyone that says they would is a liar.

No. For starters, this board wouldn't even be here anymore because the weight of posters tearing down the program would cripple it. Chicken doesn't have the bandwidth for the millions of "LES HAS TO GO" posts. Second off, for those who say we're going to a shitty bowl anyway, we wouldn't be going bowling with BH at the helm all year. You're easily looking at 6+ losses with Miles' job on the line.

After we incurred 3 losses a definite YES..
it is crazy to start next year under the same concept "an inexperienced QB"
I would have never ANNOUNCED to AUBURN that BH was the starting QB, I would have brought him in on the 2nd or 3rd series..off the bench.
...may have given him a better chance at success.
