No Missouri isn’t any better than what we’ve already faced. We should sweep these bums

Looks like Missouri is set up to go LHP /LHP/LHP
Braswell likely starts at 3B
Frey may get a DH start or 2 over Josh Pearson.
Standfield has been the only RH to play in the OF, so I doubt the find a platoon out there with Frey all of a sudden.

JJ doesn’t release who’s active and who’s not so it’s not really the reporters fault. Sometimes the parents don’t even know if their kid is active

First 4 batters should be:
1. Curiel
2. Milam
3. Jones
4. Dickinson

Given the general dearth of beat reporter talent we've endured since Luke Johnson graduated to covering the Saints, I'm not going to give them the benefit of the doubt.

He is more of a broadcast reporter than print journalist though.

I'd throw Schmidt and Ware an inning or 2 each tonight. Basically a live, short bullpen day for them. Then, they'd be full go for the weekend against Mizzou if needed. If not needed, do the same with them next week against UNO and Texas. The following week is when you probably need to pull the plug on their non-conference innings anyway, with Miss St starting on Thurs instead of Fri.
Outside of those 2, I think you just kind of piece it together tonight.

On one of the postgame shows last weekend, CJJ said that LSU may face 7 lefthanded starting pitchers in a row to begin the SEC schedule. So, our righty hitting position players (Frey, Braswell, etc.) may be getting more action than they would have otherwise.

I agree. Lots of hits, but only singles. Missing barrels is a good sign.

Yep, we’re much more versatile at the plate than we were last season.

I dont get Pearson battling ahead of Milan, who is a switch hitter.
I get the first 5 hitters for the most part and I know jay probably wants a lefty behind Dickinson’s after going RR.
but Milam is a switch hitter.
so from that perspective
he is always the answer.

Fri: Anderson + Schmidt + Evans Sat: Eyanson + Cowan + Rizy/Primeaux/Noot/etc. Sun: Shores + Benge + Guidry
Cowan has proven to be the best, and most reliable, pitcher to come in mid game to replace the starter. He’s also shown that he can pitch twice in a weekend very effectively. Depending on score and how far Anderson can go on Friday’s, I can certainly see Cowan coming in to replace him in a really tight game in the 6th or 7th inning. Then come back and pitch Sunday, if needed in a tight game.

…and, I wouldn’t rule out using Ware on the weekends now that the SEC schedule begins.

I read on Twitter yesterday that the SEC has expanded weekend rosters from 27 to 30 this year.
The source was that shitty Vandy beat writer Aria Gerson quoting Tim Corbin, but I haven't verified it.

Anderson so far is pitching just well enough to be right in that sweet spot where he may come back next year and win some awards and make more money.
Having the same Friday guy two years in a row? sounds boring in a good way

Where are stats like this? I've always wanted to see the breakdown of each player vs. LHP/RHP
