We've played them thrice in the past fifteen years and nearly lost twice and actually lost once. Even though this may sound stupid I want to play them again and just push their shite in to the point of no recovery.

The talent gap is too big for us to play that shitty against them every time and also their fans/players had too much of a similar attitude to UCF the last time we played them.

They are a scrappy team and I would love to beat the shite out of them.

They man handled us at the LOS in 2017. That’s the thing that baffles me. And we went 6-2 in the SEC that year. We beat Auburn, A&M, UF, and other objectively better teams than Troy. Weird shite happens against them. It’s psychological

That 2008 game was miserable to sit through. It was my freshman year and I was excited to finally be in the student section, after a title no less. But that season was miserable all around. It was freezing cold, our season was already off the rails, and we sat there watching them nickel and dime their way up the field every drive to a 31-3 lead. Then everyone left the stadium and it made it even colder. The comeback was certainly fun and I still don't know how we pulled it off. But I remember hoping we'd never have to play them again (Troy had a reputation for being pesky to SEC teams already, this was just the latest edition).

Lo and behold the next time we play them they wipe the floor with us. Idk what it is, Troy gets up for SEC teams, SEC teams dont take them seriously (I cant imagine why, Troy always puts up a fight). Part of me wants to play them again for revenge but another part of me just doesnt want to. They're not a team to play as a tune up game, but it's not a game that's going to win favor with the voters for winning. The risk/reward ratio for playing them is too skewed to the risk side.

frick no. Somehow those bastards have our number. We’ve played them 3 times and they’ve outplayed us each time. The 2004 game was a fricking miserable experience, pouring cold arse rain, watching Marcus Randall run like a little girl from DeMarcus Ware. Got lucky and beat them 21-14. We should never play those assholes again.

I was on the troy team in 08. Those players were actually surprisingly good. The coaching was awful though. My offensive line coach was a JOKE compared to my high school one.

Lsu was asleep that day, and when you don't try your best against a college team, you find out the size and speed gap isn't large enough to half arse against them and win. That's all it was. That's why there was a huge comeback. They just started trying and handled it.

They are inferior on paper but there's something psychological about it. They just aren't afraid of LSU. They gave us two close games and then just embarrassed us, frankly. That's a trap game for us, every time, and a win doesn't benefit us at all but a loss all but eliminates us wholly from the CFP picture.

I'd love to see LSU wipe the floor with them, yes... but the offset of risk/reward is too great. If we really want a warmup/rent-a-win game and that's it, we should just schedule North Texas again or something. Troy is a dangerous team to LSU.

Bring their punk a$$es on! We overlooked them with a lot less talented team and still almost beat them.

We would roll them by 28 at least.

My wife is a Troy alum and I graduated LSU. I respect them and am not afraid, but don’t really want to play them again soon. Nothing to gain. - personal opinion

I don't care really. We know we are a better team than them and the loose does not resonate with me. We will beat teams like Troy 99% of the time. I'm more interested in what we do against Florida, Aggie, Texas and Bama.
