Those look good, but the original authentic classic helmet design in use from 1958-1971 is the best.

Didn’t players and fans make such a big deal about all whites just a couple weeks ago and then we went out and shite the bed?
I couldn’t think of one thing less important this weekend than the uniforms. It obviously doesn’t change anything on the field.

NO! Don't hate them as much as the white helmets, but stick with the most beautiful and recognizable uniform in college football. GET OFF MY LAWN!

I don’t understand this desire so many of you have to change a tradition.
Majority of you would probably be in favor of black uniforms with purple helmets.

We could be an arena league/swac hybrid.

The “tradition” is dumb, white jersey’s are for the road. The white/purple/white is hands down the best uniform in LSU’s arsenal. Yet, people like you try to make it seem like wearing those are comparable to Oregon’s uniforms.

How old are you? 12?

Checks out. 12 years old is about right.

1. Age of 12 yrs. old checks out again; no understanding of basic grammar (plural vs. possessive).

2. Whites were only "for the road" as an NCAA requirement from 1982 to 1995. Georgia Tech, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, and most outdoor stadium NFL teams in the south (in the early part of the season) wear white at home.

correct. And this is even after they cleaned up the "helmet Mike" a few years ago.

Prior to that, the helmet Tiger was completely unrecognizable.

Yes, let's honor Alabama and try to look like them as much as possible with the single numeral on the helmet.

Let's not jazz anything up anymore this season.

I like the move for the Tennessee game, as little gold as possible against UT's orange is always best because those colors together on the field hurt my eyes.

Why try to make our helmets look like Bama?

That was a very common helmet design for a lot of teams. That is not Bama's helmet design.

Wearing numbers on the helmets is fine with me because it’s an LSU throwback look, and the helmet is still gold. Change decals all you want (slap the 1972-76 decal on there, if you want). Just make sure the helmets and pants are gold.

ok, then let's just wear what Penn St wears and be utterly bland and boring.

Question for you - do you wear the same pants and shirt every day? If not, why not?

Do you like to mix things up a bit, to freshen your look? Of course you do - we all do.

Maybe football teams want to do the same.

No. Stay on brand (gold helmet with LSU tiger logo; white tops; gold pants), especially for big games.

Uniforms have everything to do with how the team plays and the game outcome, if it's the wrong uniform.

I don't know about the all white look, since the football team rarely wears it, but it's a well-known fact that gold-purple-gold is cursed. We had a losing record at home from 1983-1994, when LSU was mandated to wear that uniform.
