Kendal Briles?
Ryan Grubb?

My biggest issue is O has let this team turn soft. We need to make damn sure we bring that back

Briles seems to get it or is learning it at Arky.

Dick, I just asked a question. However, since you had to be a punnany, both of those guys have us undefeated right now. Chew on that.

I’m not suggesting we make those hires but in regards to “Fixing” yeah it wold fix a lot.

Only a proven head coach will do.

Kendall Briles is the only coordinator that I can think of that should get a look. The next coach will be a proven HC.

I’m inclined to agree with what you’re saying. I don’t know who the top DC’s are who we’d consider.

LSU is not a place where someone learns on the job.

What is your standard for a “proven” head coach? Were Saban, Miles or O considered proven head coaches when they were hired?

Someone that has won his conference or been to the playoffs if his team is not in a conference. Shows the aptitude to run one of the top 5 programs in the country. LSU cannot roll the dice and hope.

Yeah sure I’m fine with that. The skins on the wall mindset isn’t really a good one because there are only 3 coaches with said skins on that wall that anyone would want (Saban, Dabo, urban). Well organized, intelligent, ability to sell and execute a vision

So based on that criteria, who can LSU realistically get?

Georgia is the #1 team in the country, they played for the NC in 2017 in their coaches 2nd year, he had never been a HC neither was Riley or Stoops at OU.

Based on his criteria Chris Peterson, Bob Stoops and Mark Helfrich are all available

I would doubt Saban, Dabo Day Riley Kelly would leave their current job, ironically only Saban meet his criteria before his current job.

Why? Programs as great, or greater, have hired coordinators.

I’m not saying we should, as there may not be the right fit, but I’m not opposed to the idea.
