Hell no. he didn't bring our program to the pinnacle of college football. other than one year (NC), he lost 3 games a year and didn't give a damn about LSU as he fricked us on the way out by giving no notice and not recruiting his last year.
he is NOT LSU. no statue. I can name dozens of LSU people that deserve statues before him. examples are Dale Brown, Bob Petit, Bert Jones, Charles McClendon, Bernie Moore and many others.

It would be neat to have the entire group of men and women that helped create and continue to improve LSU as an SEC sports power. Set up like Yankee Stadium's monument area with bronze plaques, busts or statues. The criteria should be a very high bar of course.
My take on Little Nicky; he'll have his Beat the Bear trophy but it was fun when he was here and definitely advanced the program. LSU also has the 'process.' I actually sent a very nasty email as an LSU fan to the Dolphins when he left.

Although he certainly helped start a golden age for LSU football, I don't think he was here long enough or did enough to warrant a statue. I'd vote for Miles getting a statue before Saban. He was here over ten years, got us to the SEC championship game three times, won 2 SEC titles and one national championship............not to mention a significant bowl winning streak for his first few years. Also, if Saban gets one for Alabama, I just can't see why he'd need to have one here as well.
