Would the SEC allow Florida to cancel if the game was in BR?

With the excuse floating around that players and coaches would have to leave their families behind to travel for the game, I think it begs an interesting question. If the game was originally scheduled to be played in Tiger Stadium, would the SEC allow this as a legitimate reason to cancel the game, or would the Gators be forced to forfeit?

Up vote yes, down vote no.

This question doesn't make any sense. Your username does though.

I think you're the legitimate reason the ban was invented.

How doesn't it make sense? Watch the press conference, Florida's excuse for not moving the location of the game is that the players need to be with their families at this time. That means it has nothing to do with the venue.

So if the game were in Tiger Stadium to begin with, and a hurricane were hitting Florida, wouldn't the UF players still need to be with their families?

I think it's an interesting, and valid, hypothetical due to the verbiage used by UF.

Funny how it didn't apply to USC during their disaster.

Great point. Just another reason that proves Florida is a female organ.

Very true. I remember getting frigging toasted for 3 days straight waiting that out in Prairieville. Buddy of mine kept saying it was going to be cancelled. I kept telling him no way in hell would SEC cancel a game if it could be moved within a 3 day span.

I would have egg on my face for that argument now.

Then Riggins happened. Sooooo pissed.

Nah, it was actually kind of hilarious. The administration sent us an email saying it was "too dangerous" to hold classes on Monday due to the damage to campus from Rita. Then they announced the game would be Monday night. Everyone knew it was because holding class during tailgating was a nightmare.
