JJ hasn't done anything to lose his job

yeah, but he didnt do anything to earn it either, it was handed to him because we didnt have anyone else at the time. He's done just enough to keep his job. "Just enough", shouldnt be good enough for LSU. LSU should have a feared quarterback.

It's also unfair to JJ to lose playing time just because some people want to see a Jarrett Lee redemption story. If JJ isn't doing anything bad enough to be benched why should he lose playing time.

nice little line there and you may have a little logic there except for the whole JJ hasnt done anything wrong kind of thing...

He has done plenty wrong...and a few things right.

Some people believe that JL could run the O better if given the chance because of all the things he been through, the touch of his passes, his arm strength and his football intelligence.

IMO I think they should both get some work.

Who's done more wrong in their career Jefferson with sacks or NCAA single season record holder Lee?

what on earth would give them that impression? he played for the greater part of last year. He was a historically bad QB. i'm not saying he is bad person, or anything, I don'y know the young man. But when it came to playing the position of QB he was very very bad at it. Why anyone would consider him a viable option is completely beyond me. When you pine for the golden days of the JL era. what are you pining for? which game? Seriously, which game from last year do you think back to whistfully wondering when we'll ever get QB play like that again?

We'll see. If he struggles against Bama maybe Lee gets a shot. Don't know. But if JJ struggles against bama and LSU loses w/o giving JL a shot, total meltdown shall ensue.

I don't think JL will be at LSU next year, just my opinion. Its the reason why (again, IMO) why Miles hasn't gone out of the way to play him more this year.

JL will transfer to an FCS school, light it up and spend about 3-4 years as a professional clip board holder. Much better than most!

Were you ever so adamant about benching QBs so quickly? Did you want Lee benched everytime he threw a pick 6? Did you want Flynn benched for Perrilloux after a few incomplete passes? Did you want JaMarcus benched for Flynn whenever he threw a bad screen pass or fumbled a snap?

Should all Sophomores (and Juniors and Seniors) who don't see much playing time transfer?

It seems like in some quarters there is more loyalty to one player than to the team.

He didn't? If beating out every other QB on the roster in the spring and fall isn't "earning" it, I'm not sure what that means, then.

Do what? What he's been through(unfairly imho) has likely made him a better person, but it is a tremendous logical fallacy to even remotely assume that makes him more qualified to run the offense. I really am not sure how somebody could be so stupid as to even try to make that leap.

I agree, I find it amazing that an out of state above average recruit who performed to historically lows has developed such a devoted following. It almost seems like a select few would be much happier with Lee throwing for 300 yards and LSU lose than JJ throwing for 150 and winning. I could almost understand the loving devotion if he was a Louisiana high school legend but he's not.

You are a DICK!!!! I wish you would go be a fan of another team asswhip.

This kid got his arse handed to him last year and it was obvious he was not ready to be a starter in the SEC. All he did in the offseason was work his butt off despite all the shite he took from dick heads like you and still wants to be a Tiger even if it means riding the pine.

You really are a spineless frick!!!

Hahaha, don't make me laugh. I'm not a dick, I just call it like I see it. If he had earned the starting spot, he'd be starting. That's what you idiots are missing. I don't care how hard he's worked, I still would love for Jarrett Lee to be Bama's starting QB--that way I wouldn't be nervous about this game one bit. Not one bit. I'm sure he's a swell guy and he's got one of the most amazing arms I've ever seen, but it is what it is. Grow a pair.

1) How in the world could that not be disrespectful to Jefferson?

2)

3) Are you fricking serious?

Carl, I was discussing this with a friend last night, and I think that the following teams would not have Jefferson as a starter: Florida (obviously), Arkansas, South Carolina, Ole Miss, and Auburn (real iffy).

I think that the only two clearcut schools that Jefferson would not start at are Arky and Florida. There are 3-4 debatable schools, and 5 or 6 schools that would take him in an instant.

However, I agree that has to be one of the dumbest things I have read on the Rant.

It was DEFINATELY given to him after the bowl game last year... LEE never had a shot after that...and he has deserved one this year...

quote:

as well as being better at every other aspect of being a quarterback...Jefferson will win the games he is suppose to win because of what surrounds him...I believe lee could win the games were not suppose to win...We shall see about JJ this weekend, although we have seen it against FL...

and your dumbass is probably gonna talk about pick 6's again...again that was last year...Fact is the Game is moving to fast for JJ, JL has the experience and the game moves slower for him...Everyone can see it when he plays... the kid has a swagger about him now that everyone can see..

I just want to see lee get more PT because I think he would do better and the offense would click on all cylinders, and miles prob doesnt want that because he knows he'd have a QB controversy and he's going to hide behind wanting to get his younger qb more experience. He's not going to give people a chance to see if he's wrong, he's not that dumb
