I think he'd start at Auburn and possibly South Carolina. Maybe not, just because Spurrier's offense doesn't usually take advantage of QB's athleticism. But I agree, Arkansas, Florida, and Ole Miss are the only places he definitely wouldn't start. After that a couple of toss-ups, but he'd start for the rest.

agree, I find it amazing that an out of state above average recruit who performed to historically lows has developed such a devoted following. It almost seems like a select few would be much happier with Lee throwing for 300 yards and LSU lose than JJ throwing for 150 and winning. I could almost understand the loving devotion if he was a Louisiana high school legend but he's not.
this type of permanent indictment of a player is just as bad as the "devotion" you're complaining about...

I think Jordan Jefferson should be the starter, however, he should have to earn it every game. If he has an off-game or gets hurt, it is to LSU's advantage to have a back-up quarterback who is hungry to prove himself and is ready to play. The argument for more playing time for Lee is so that he can have the chance.
This situation encourages both QBs to play at their best and to seek to develop at this position.

I think you are giving Snead too much credit.

Why wouldn't he transfer to a Texas school?

No don't get me wrong I hope Lee does well and if he ever starts I hope succeeds, however I think photoshopping fake magazine covers proclaiming his future greatness is stupid.

(...I believe lee could win the games were not suppose to win)

Just would like to point out the obvious fact to some of you ignorant LSU fans. JL was a redshirt freshman, who was thrown to the wolves of the SEC before his time. For someone who believes that JL is the worst QB ever to play at LSU, compare his stats to the rest of the good SEC quarterbacks in their first years.
Peyton Manning 1994
89/144 1141 11 TD 6 INT 61.8% completion
Eli Manning 2000
16/33 170 0 TD 1 INT 48.5%
Mathew Stafford 2006 (#1 Draft Pick in 2009)
135/256 1749 7 TD 13 INT 12 Sacks 52.7 %
Jarrett Lee 2008
143/269 1873 13 TD 16 INT 8 Sacks 53.2%
Wow compared to other sec quarterbacks who play in the NFL, Jarrett Lee doesn't look so bad for being thrown to the wolves, maybe some people should look at stats and not dwell on the 6 INT's for TD's and actually look at the yardage and how he helped us come back to beat Troy, Auburn, etc. yet not to take anything away from Jefferson, he has done well enough not to turn the ball over, but far from excellent has he been, especially with the fact that he is supposed to be the more talented running QB and still has been sacked 23 times this year compared to JL's 8 sacks! the common theme would be to utilize the talent we have on the team and allow JJ to see how the defense reacts to situations and have both QB's work together such as Chris Leak and Tim Tebow in Tebow's first title run.

Miles needs to continue to give JL some game reps so he'll stay. The kid has earned playing time.
1. If you are a backup QB you havent earned anything but a headset...your there for a reason(see last year)
2. He should not get playing time because our starting QB still needs time to prepare and more reps for the bigger and better teams we will face.
3. The only games he should go in is the games we are winning by 40.
4. Last year the dual-QB system didnt work out too well.

Three of these guys beat out the competition during the spring and fall the next year one didn't. Peyton beat out Brandonn Stewart, Stafford beat out Shockley, Eli didn't really have competition, and JJ beat out Lee.

No disresct to JJ but I honestly do not believe that he would start at any other school in the SEC
Nah, Vandy, Miss St, Possibly Auburn, Maybe Kentucky, and Tenn as a long shot JJ could start...Anywhere else...Nope...
But no, we would have to have him at a Top Ten SEC Ranked School that has a shot at a national title. (and no we dont have that shot because of JJ,) If we win (and I Hope we do) the National Title I would know that Les Miles has a signed deal with Christ Almighty.

If yall see how HOTT Lee's girlfriend is, yall would see that he has more than just football to stick around for. I personally hope Lee stays, he is one injury away from earning his spot back and having the most dangerous receiving core in the nation around him. After how bad our fanbase treated him last year, it shows the character he has to stick around instead of running away. I wish nothing but the best for this kid. Because of the hardships that he has been through I would say that he has more heart (at least as much) as anyone on this LSU team. We have two quartebacks on our team right now that I think we can win a championship with. The one that I think could win a Heisman is on the bench.

This is ignorant at best. Having a backup QB, who is one injury away from your full time starting QB, as cold as ice will very little prep time is stupid.
Some of you people just have an agenda, whether it be pro JJ, anti Lee or whatever. Just admit it.
JJ is the starter, lee is the backup. Your backup needs to be ready to start, that doesn't happen throwing 5-6 passes through 8 games.

I agree with this...He hasnt earned it enough for it just to be handed to him like it has been...
