are you stating that you did?

asking about Miles when clearly the majority of penalties were on the Defense and everyone knows Chavis is 100% in charge there

so is Chavis a "player's coach" and needs to be more disciplined?????

There is a time and a place for arse chewings. I very rarely chew out my players during games, but practice is a different story. Kids don't want to be embarrassed in front of their parents and fans. Miles respects his players but I promise you they get arse chewings at practice all the time.

yes, there needs to be some kind of system of accountability down there, we can't give bama free yards. you know how many penalties bama will have against us? prolly no more than 2.

Yep, great record.

I'm thinking it might be telling that 33% of the Bama L's during that run have come vs. LSU.

That's a pretty bad reference cite. If you email me, I will send you 2 much better ones...not that you can't find them yourself or dont already have better...just offering.

I'll relay this to the coaching staff.

to paraphrase that other great american philosopher, yogi berra...

i was having deja vu all over again watching a&m move the ball on penalties on that drive....

Miles was less of a "players' coach" and more of a "Martinet" (i.e., a no-nonsense disciplinarian)? All coaches, including Miles, need to understand that it is much better to be respected by your players than it is to be liked by them. Coaching is not a popularity contest

No they would have less penalties if they were less agressive. I will take the penalties in exchange for the agressiveness.

By the board's logic, should Chavis be held responsible for the defensive penalties? I feel like the offsides, personal fouls and pass interference calls on defense kept A&M drives going, especially in the 4th quarter.

Nope.
Chavis only coaches them to do good stuff. Miles is responsible for the penalties-- that's the only place he interferes with Chavis if I had to guess. He obviously won't let Chavis coach discipline.

No need to capitalize it, Bryan Garner, it is not referring to a mean guy named Martinet, rather to an ordinary, non-proper noun (i.e. a thing).
