With the 2019 system in place, he would’ve easily produced >3000 yards & 25 TD’s. Danny was a solid college QB.
canada got the most out of a severely limited etling. if canada had burrow OMG.

Regardless we were still running 2 wides I formation in 17. Wouldn’t have made a difference
that is not all we ran. however, canada wanted more receivers more of the time but that is not what O wanted then. thankfully O changed.

Etling was unparalleled in his ability to get absolutely rocked and get back up and throw the ball again like nothing happened.

Brennan in 2017 was no where close to where he is today. He's really worked on his "happy feet" in the pocket and the game has really seemed to slow down for him. He looks much more comfortable and really needed those few years of development.
Say they did throw the weight of the team on his shoulders in 2017, it may have hindered his development. No QB would want to start in 2017 and then get benched to a grad transfer from Ohio for 2 years either. Just imagine a 6'4" 245lbs DE come around the corner and tee him up causing an injury then now you have a shaken up, young QB who now has to spend his time recovering instead of learning. We didnt have enough pieces of the puzzle around the team in 2017 for Brennan to have made such a dramatic difference. Just too many things to go wrong.

If LSU is starting a true freshman in 2017 it is possible that Burrow doesn't end up in BR.
