Watching usf game got me wondering-
If uf beats usf that week is bk still at lsu?
Think about it-
Uf at that point hadn’t been exposed.
They still had some flaws but the hype was real.
They would have come into Death Valley in a top 15 matchup
That would certainly change the perception of bk and co and possibly could have been enough to keep bk in tiger town?

Texted this to my friend group
Didn’t feel like retyping
Shut it

Nothing about UF or the outcome of that team had anything to do with BK’s firing. He started causing bad blood and we proceeded to get out played by Vandy/ Ole Miss, then get the doors blown off of us by A&M. UF could be 11-1 and it wouldn’t have mattered

This. What happened after the UF game exposed BK.

-However- responding to a legit question about the weak running game with “You’re spoiled!” got the attention of a lot of people.

BK was an absolutely disaster as an option for Head Coach.

No further discussion of that man is necessary !!!

I agree. But that part started early with his refusal to address or acknowledge issues that were brought up about the Oline, Nuss injury, and his knack for throwing interceptions throughout camp. He was checked out and what he did to LSU should face criminal charges.

not in the past 25 years did anyone suck the life and fun out of college football the way Brian kelly did.

He made watching LSU a chore. Even when we werent sucking on the field, it just wasnt fun. I am so excited for Lane next season because no matter what it's gonna be back to being exciting and interesting.

I havent seen interest in LSU football as low as it was this year among my friend group. We would gather every weekend to watch and this year we only did once. That is definitely changing next year.

ND was tired of BK. He hit a gold mine with LSU.

Great for ND but really bad for LSU.

Lane will win big. Or do to LSU what he did to uTN and other teams, Quitting when he could win it all.

He's a great OC.

Nuss should have healed up and never played the first month of the season if he was that limited by injury.

BK needed to get another QB ready to let Nuss get better. BK is an incompetent boob.

The first four games on the schedule had only one SEC opponent.

LSU may have got beaten by Clemson and Florida with Nuss out.

Imagine a healthy Nuss returning and possibly running the table and LSU making the playoffs.

BK was a lazy coach and was incapable of thinking out of the box.

Texas fricking a&m is why BK got fired. That was an abomination of a second half.

But more than that, did BK ever beat a&m? He might but who cares? He was relevant only his first year.

ONE of the worst coaches and definitely one of the worst human beings ever hired at LSU.

Brian Kelly is a fraud. Be thankful he’s gone.

Nope. We’ve looked lost on one side of the ball after 2019. Kelly couldn’t fix it.

Defense with Daniels was awful
Offense with the best OL he’d ever seen was putrid

No! His team's dreadful offensive performance and the aTm debacle sealed his fate. He was on thin ice from the get go this season. The PTB already had concerns about Kelly. Don't think for a second that they weren't all aware of his terrible roster management, coaching hires, stunted player development and laissez faire approach and commitment .

Perhaps Sunbelt Billy's early ouster speeded the decision because LSU decision makers had already decided that Lane was the target so they threw there hat in the ring as soon as Kelly was sent packing. It was just a simple matter of timing.

Kelly's craptastic lazy approach may have given him an early retirement but it wrecked his "legacy". His humiliation of getting sacked can be consoled by his massive buyout but everyone knows he's a gruff, arrogant fraud. The winningest coach in ND history couldn't get a job at G5 program.

UF would have instead finished 5-7 instead of 4-8.

No. BK gets canned no matter what after that skull dragging LSU took at the hands of TAM.

His phone is not ringing right now. Plenty of college openings. Hmm. Why is that?
