Nobody wants to hear this, but the only time they unequivocally faked an injury was when we were trying to rush the snap after Caden’s knee hit the ground 10 yards behind where he was called down. They were negating our cheesy bullshite with their own cheesy bullshite.

The difference is, playing up tempo is a legitimate strategy and part of the game.

FAKING an injury is against the rules.

If there’s anything the game needs, it’s MOAR reviews.

Just charge teams with a TO or a delay of game if a player goes down after the ball/chains are set. If a player is legitimately injured and waits to go down then that's on him.

If you're injured then stay down or go down immediately. No more faking cramps to get a free timeout.

This - unsportsmanlike penalty in addition to the not coming back for the series. And give it to the coach. Aren’t they tossed after 2 in a game?

if they have to stop the flow of the game for your "injured" arse, then you sit the rest of the series.

At a minimum. Maybe a quarter.

what makes it tougher to make a rule is guys that genuinely do need attention but can come back in same series.

Like what happened to Kyren Lacy for example.
The probably did hurt like hell in the moment. and he needed a couple plays to walk that off.

Or as others mentioned Penn gettting the wind knocked out of him.

This sounds great until it’s someone like Nuss that has to sit out a series because he came up gimpy on a play

Correct. Players legitimately do get injured. They are already required to miss a play when that happens.

Forcing players to sit out a drive is a classic over reaction of “let’s punish everyone” for the actions of a few.
