Right. Dickinson has been doing this all year. If the 3rd baseman is deep, he will lay it down.

Hernandez is too important behind the plate regardless of his bat, and like someone mentioned he’s had some big homers lately. May be settling in and coming around.

re: Would a new ruling negating a review when a player goes down with an injury…

This - unsportsmanlike penalty in addition to the not coming back for the series. And give it to the coach. Aren’t they tossed after 2 in a game?
re: Can Someone Explain…Re: Herring

Doesn’t apply to Herring. He isn’t a junior. He is a draft eligible sophomore.

Plus outfielder and very good contact hitter? Would you complain about another Antoine Duplantis?

Don’t get cute Jay! Let him pitch. Don’t bring someone else in just to bring them in while he is dealing and they start walking everybody again

That little cutter he is throwing looks good. Little has been throwing that too. Wonder if that is a Yeskie effect.
re: 3 Facts about disputed play at home
Posted by Forever Tiger on 5/25/24 at 8:23 pm to Burreaux09
It was the correct interpretation and application of the rule IF, and that’s a big IF, Neal was on or in front of the plate prior to receiving the ball. We all know he was not but in their collective thought, they thought he was. So it was a missed call via judgment not a misinterpretation of the rule. Even the head official refused to question the judgment live on the air with the announcers. He would only explain the rule cause he knew they had missed it judgment wise.

Yeah, they missed an entire body leaving the batter’s box but saw Neal’s foot touch the plate or go in front of the plate.
re: “In front of the plate”
Posted by Forever Tiger on 5/25/24 at 7:51 pm to Wiseguy
I interpret the ruling to mean in fair territory. The plate is fair and in front would be between the baselines in fair. Neal was next to the plate but outside the foul line - not in fair territory. I may be just trying to make it make more sense in plain language.
Down go the Suns!

Come on 76ers, Jazz, and Pacers.
