That's a pretty embarrassing post.

You probably need to step back and get a breath of fresh air if you think the lsu program is in as bad as shape as you make it to be after a 13-1 sec championship and loss in the title game. I'm actually laughing At the stupidity if you are being serious with your post that lsu can't win a title if Saban is at Alabama.
You really need a reality check. You sound like the people in 2009 that said miles would never win the west again. Your post is ridiculous. Was the loss bad? Of course. But the season lsu still had was incredible and lsu is set up again for a great season. You have an entirely pitiful view on lsu football if you are actually that down on the program as you make it seem.

Yes, it's true, after the '92 loss to Colorado State there was no doubt or questioning about the mental capacity of our coach. And somehow your brain processes that as better.

Fascinating.

1. 1/9/2012
The weight of what was on the line makes it impossible for this not to be #1. I refuse to let it completely soil the season but it is undeniably 1.
2. 2002 Bama. Complete and utter domination. Bama trying to run the clock out to end the first half running Shaud williams draws all the way to the endzone. Shut out in tiger stadium. Friggin freezing my arse off in the stands after a long drive in. Terrible.
3. 97 vs Ole Miss. A big dose of reality that we still hadnt arrived. The utter joy of the previous week with the dissapointment the next. This was the difference between Dinardo and Saban. Saban brought the discipline and focus to where we beat UGA one week and then didnt have a let down to State.
4. 2001 Florida. 44-15. Terrible. Despite winning the SEC that year we werent ready. I remember the student section taking one of the UF extra points to the top of the north endzone and throwing it over.
5. 97 Notre Dame. I dont think they had a penalty called on them all game. Got revenge in the Indy Bowl and was damn happy about it. My how times have changed

These were just some games that stuck out in my head. UAB was bad but honestly coming off 98 and 99 it didnt hurt so much anymore all was forgiven when we beat Tennessee the next week. These I just remember leaving Tiger stadium feeling punched in the gut. UGA 98 Arky 07 would be up there as well

Auburn refgate on the plains because we were cheated numerous times in one game by the refs. Not saying bad calls. Saying they cheated.

Yeah I can't fathom how this isn't a concensus #1 for every LSU fan. I've never felt as sick from a sports standpoint as I did that night.

Our oline was getting murdered and JJ was running for his life ALL game and you want to put in a less mobile guy whom has a history of throwing the ball up for grabs? Yeah me too! Really. Try something. Because that god damn option wasn't working.

4. LSU loss w Josh Booty at QB against Troy State (I think) - at home again! What a terrible game by our starting all-conference to-be QB. Saban never did pull him and Davey was waiting in the wings. WTF? Sound familiar? Good news on this one is I think we ended up in Georgia Dome for bowl game against Ga. Tech. Davey got his chance in 2nd half and was brilliant!

you lost your cred with this

The worst loss for me ,at the time, was Arky 2007. We had lucked our way back to #1 and Flynn played like shite and we had them stopped on 4th and ten and they got it and Flynn threw an interception to end the game. It was the closest I've ever come to having actual tears and the only time a game stuck with me longer than the weekend. I would've been fine with firing Miles after that game. We were so much better and more talented than Arky.

1. Number 1 all-time has to the Vandy loss (at Vandy) when Kinchen caught the winning TD and then ruled illegal push-off. Not even the TENN loss (then victory) could top this emotional roller-coaster IMO.
This game wont make a lot of lists, but it's the only LSU game that got me mad enough to punch a hole in the wall. Still remember Hawthorne calling a TD on that last play, then reversing himself several times, making it even more maddening!

Maybe the reason why some of the big losses during the 90s don't hurt as bad is because we weren't expected to win. Our expectations were lower, therefor, they were still met when we lost.

Sorry, but I'm just not that immature. Every single loss that contributed to a 2-9 season is far worse than whatever loss contributed to a 13-1 season. Maybe you and I differ on what "worst loss" means, but losing to the National Champions in the National Championship Game -- though terribly disappointing -- is not "worse" than losing to Colorado State or USM at home, or Florida by FIFTY-FIVE POINTS AT HOME, in a losing season. 119 out of 120 schools in 1-A would trade seasons and programs with us right now. In '92, there might have been 20 (and by '94, it might have been even lower). The losses that contributed to that were far, far worse than the loss that led to #2 in the country.

Spot on. Honestly some of the LSU "fans" are becoming exactly what we hated about Bama fans. ENTITLED. makes me sick. Dumb asses on here starting " Les should be fired " threads during the last moments on te BCS title game.

For me it has to be the Miles Boner Championship. Nothing else is close. Not even the losses to Tulane in the early 80s. Worst prep job for a big game that I can recall. So much for his rep as a great coach in the post season. He has miles to go before he reaches even, IMO.

So one loss to the best Bama team of all time and his curb stomping of ,the u, ga tech, notre dame, Ohio state and Texas am get thrown out the window? fricking entitled fricks. I swear some of you dont deserve a great program to cheer for. If 13-1 with LSU's greatest sec season ever isn't good enough for you then you suck as a person

Bruh. My own sports accomplishments are enough to where I don't have to let A GAME played by 18-22 yr olds define me. You should also try to be like that. It's obvious LSU winning helps define you be wise you wouldn't be that pissed off if not. I guess you forgot nick Saban getting beat in front of millions on nov5.
