Crowbar hit it on the head (unlike our hitting it on the barell)- 1 for 33 and you can't win.

They booted a couple of ground balls. Of course we weren't fast enough to make it safe on one of them. Do you really think that 17 fly ball outs is a sign of good hitting night?

No way dude! 84 mph fastballs belt high, down the middle of the plate are unhittable.

My point exactly. We played GORILLA BALL with shitty bats and players with no power. GREAT STRATEGY.

We hit the ball hard tonight. Nothing was hit in the gap.

If Rhymes' liner down the line drops in fair it's a whole different ballgame, though.

No, Smoke always said that. The wind was blowing out tonight, balls were carrying.

And yesterday's pitcher was the 2nd worst

If you had been around tonight you would know that I have pointed out the difference. The guy yesterday at least had a lot of movement on his pitches. The guy yesterday had shown last weekend how good of a pitcher he was.

I saw this guy with my own eyes Saturday morning. I watched him on tv tonight. Nothing!!!!

Maybe if by "whole different ballgame" you mean 7-3... wouldn't have mattered. They were so much better than us

It would have been 4-3 in the 3rd. Don't be dumb. That's a whole lot more pressure than pitching in a 6-1 game.

Why didn't I get to see a replay of that ball? Really would have liked to have seen that. Was it obviously foul? Anybody have a good view? Doesn't matter, just curious.

LSU was swinging for the fences 90% of the night. Not the baseball that got them to where they were.

I believe I heard that this was his 3rd complete game this year and that he also had 5 saves

We did swing for the fences. Katz second at bat, he struck out swinging at a fastball eye level to him! He swung up to try and get it. Someone needs to teach JJ that there is no way to hit a 6 run homer with one swing of the bat. Be a second baseman, hit gappers and hope the people behind you can get you home.

At one point Johnson game #2 pitcher had 41 strikes and 44 balls. Their pitchers did a good job of not giving in to the LSU hitters. They used the corners all weekend. Even when they didn't get the call they kept using the edge of the strike zone. Eades was throwing the ball right down the heart of the strike zone.

I say come on LSU football team. All of you guys who know and follow baseball were counting all the chickens way before hatching saying SR was a high school, SB would be intimidated by the crowd, Gausman would win 2 games when he came into game 2, SB would lose to KG in game 2, SB has no pitching left after game 2, we will out hit and out pitch them in game 3, yada yada yada...

This happened for a reason and its part of baseball. We were ranked #1 a few times this season, won the SEC, etc... Well a team that can do that gas talent and can hit the ball (although we did in spurts), give SB credit and move on.

Yes we need a better hitting coach and recruit some well grounded kids. Our kids may have been too cocky and feeding off the bull shite they were hearing from you confident know it all fans. We get some well grounded guys a notch uder being drafted in the first 3 rounds of the draft then we could keep some kids well into their Sr. year.

Cheers
