Listening to PM...

Starts off with base running mistakes.

Blaming fundamental mistakes.

Saying he's responsible to teach them.

Says he didn't call bunt because he didn't emphasise bunting with those players.

Wait. So he is ONLY taking responsibility for his players' mistakes and not his own?

He probably really thinks not bunting Diechman wad the right move. He probably really thinks keeping Poche in 2 batters too long wad the right move. He just doesn't know wtf he's doing.

We didn't play the game smart. And that's coaching. That falls on me. #LSU Paul Mainieri
YOU didn't play the game smart, a-hole.

not having the bully up going into the 7th is gross negligence

especially since Poche has never made it past 6 since....since....

Answering the OP it has to be up there. Tonight I would have taken any "guest manager" ranter including the ones that don't know the rules of baseball(they showed in force tonight) and felt very good about winning that game.

I think we can, I don't think their 2 and 3 starters are any good, we should score a lot

Paul the best talent in the country and coaches them like this tonight. LSU could have so many better coaches that this cat.

it seems like this is a recurring theme with lsu athletics... we have great recruiting coaches who doesnt know what the F they r doing on game day. does this sound familiar to anyone?
is it entirely possible that our coach had a bad day or [gasp] made a mistake (that he surely regrets)?

Lets hit the reset button and take a deep breath?

Maneiri made the same coaching mistake a couple of weeks ago. He did not learn a damn thing.

Mainieri said that he didn't bunt Greg Deichmann because "the kid has never bunted in his life." Took responsibility for not preparing him.
THEN PULL HIM AND PUT SOMEONE ELSE IN WHO CAN BUNT.
