Woodward’s hiring of Jimbo

Do you guys think when Woodward made this deal with Jimbo that he knew he was coming to LSU? What a way to stick it to the faggies

We were trying desperately to hire Jimbo too. Woodward beat Alleva.
Worked out well for us in hindsight. But Jimbo and Herman were the marquis names that offseason.
Thank god Alleva is incompetent.

If Jimbo hadn’t been rightfully butthurt from the screwing LSU gave him by giving Les one more chance, he probably would have accepted the Natty in the Dome instead of O.
LSU has a far superior talent base than aTm. Of course aTm will foolishly overpay for any and every discarded LSU sloppy second that comes along.
Herman fell for the same delusion of superior Texas money but inferior Texas talent. Both he and Jimbo chose poorly.
Of course LSU didn’t choose well, we lucked into O while kicking and screaming Noooooo! By definition, it’s always better to be lucky than good, because good doesn’t always succeed.

Jimbo is a good coach. He just can't work miracles, which is what it would take in college station. There are many coaches who can win at LSU. Not many, if any, who can win at a1m.
