Thank you for proving my point. SEC was A $ $ when Wade won.

He’s talking about 2009, you idiot.

Absolutely. Carter was the only good player all year and he's gone along with 3 other seniors that were in the rotation. Throw in 3-4 defections and there ain't much roster there, definitely not any shooting. If anything the MM era has taught us it's to not count on 4 star freshman to be big contributors. Reed and Miller could be solid but with bad guards and no shooting that'll only go so far.

I’m sure you’re correct but I was talking about the football roster.

LSU football is going to have it's best roster yet under Kelly and is likely a preseason top 10 team

Year 4 and we've seen all this before. Check back after the first game.

I don’t think it’s debatable that this roster has more proven talent and balance than any since 2019.

Some of yall are like a bunch of damn women.

We’d probably be no worse off and likely better.

Football would have been the same without selling out basketball.

I think the fallout from the LSU/OLOL embezzlement case could have been worse.

Who cares about a tournament ban when we’ve had three years without a tournament appearance? Even with a sanctioned roster, I guarantee Wade has more than 4 conference wins.

The consequences of firing Wade were WORSE than any sanctions.

idk it’s not like wade was winning here waiting talented rosters.

And maybe he can grind some NIL to compensate for that but everything indicates that NIL was not where it should have been across the board. (besides maybe baseball)

Wade got the most out of his rosters. McMahon does not. Even with a less-talented roster, Wade punches up. McMahon punches down.

I think he’s a better coach than McMahon but i also think part of the reason he’s a better coach is he recruits better players than McMahon.

we could have a bad basketball team still if we got hammered and I think the tune would absolutely change from

“OMG I miss will wade!”

to

“why did we keep this guy?”

It is true that he had to save albeit from football investigation into sexual misconduct with Less, players, and O. They did not want to open that can of worms while the other teams under scrutiny were not football powers. So they gave the middle finger to the NCAA. SW had just got here and surely did not want to give up football for an although potentially good MBB and Coach in his first real move. He liked O which gave him no choice to fire him. Mulkey great hire and got to return to Louisiana and spend unlimited time w/ family. JJ great hire and will eventually be his best. McLoser looked like a great hire from a mid with a relatively low price. Turned out not to be, but the contract with such a huge buyout because of the “black cloud” over the program was real but since he sacrificed WW , the penalties were not as bad because of the deal he made with bro-n-law head of the NCAA. Now pride is in the way and would make him look like an idiot if he hires WW back. So the NIL more $$ scam is brewed up because it’s cheaper to keep McLoser and staff w/ minimal money going to NIL than to fire, hire new HC, and sink NIL $ in program. Hope is McLoser can turn it around and Admin says they told us he needed more money & time. Other scenario is he bombs again and SW searches from this point on for another Fire hire.

Most of the fans know this, 1) they hate WW for some reason like he committed murder 2) they love McLoser because he is a good coach, but horrible evaluator, horrible recruiter, PR man, and not built for the SEC. 3) Truth is Football is the Golden goose and even a “good team” makes money. 4) certainly not least but WW will coach power 4 bball and succeed, just hope it’s not in the SEC and haunts our arse.

His football hire hasn't even sniffed to college football playoff.

A total and complete destruction of the basketball program for this result plus a shiteload of vacated wins. Woodward is so good at his job!
